This is my go-to product every summer! I'd honestly call it a moisture bomb because whenever my skin feels parched underneath, it works instantly to calm things down. What I love most is that it hydrates without making my skin oily, so my sebum production actually decreases. I apply this at night before bed and wake up to absolutely radiant, glowing skin! I'm using it just like a sleeping mask and I'm obsessed with the results! The downside is that I can only use it in the evening, and it does feel quite sticky. This is a product you apply as the final step after completing your entire skincare routine, then go to bed. The formula has a lightweight texture that absorbs beautifully and applies like a thin, protective veil. Your skin feels incredibly smooth and soft. The scent is lovely. Unlike other creams that either evaporate or leave you with excess oil on your face by morning, this one prevents all that. You wake up with your skincare looking exactly as fresh as when you applied it. When you rinse with water in the morning, your skin feels deeply hydrated underneath. It's pricey, but it's absolutely worth every penny. It feels so hydrating and moisturizing. My skin feels plump and saturated with moisture all the way through. I apply it as an overnight treatment before bed, and while it does feel a bit tacky and my hair sticks to it a little, the results are so good that I keep using it regularly. After applying it, there's some stickiness and my hair tends to stick to my skin.

I was worried about Aesop's strong fragrance, but I didn't experience any other skin issues after using it! This product applies beautifully with excellent spreadability and a lightweight, non-sticky texture that feels fresh on the skin. I used it throughout fall and winter, and it felt refreshing and soothing when applied, so I think it would work wonderfully for summer too. I loved that it kept my skin hydrated even the next day, but personally, I also noticed that fine lines seemed to improve after a good night's sleep. While I didn't see any wrinkle-reduction claims on the packaging, I definitely felt the difference myself, so this was honestly my favorite benefit! One thing to note is that while the fast absorption is great, if you have dry skin like mine, using it alone can make your face feel tight. So when I layer it with other hydrating products to boost moisture, it works even better and feels more satisfying overall. It's a really effective sleeping mask! Aesop products definitely have a strong scent, so I can see this being hit or miss for people. Personally, this one smelled like ginseng or red ginseng to me. If you're sensitive to fragrance, I'd recommend testing it at the store before buying! The website says to use half a teaspoon, leave it on for 30 minutes, then rinse it off or wash it in the morning. But with my dry skin, I found that leaving it on alone for 30 minutes made my face feel uncomfortably tight. So when I wanted to keep it on longer, I'd apply other hydrating essentials or facial oil underneath to maintain moisture. The best thing about this product is how lightweight it is. Though I'm not totally sure if that's the right way to use it, haha (the store associate actually recommended it for that purpose!) It dries pretty quickly, so there's a slight tightness, but it has a subtle shine that gives it an almost protective feel, so it's not bad at all
