I love Aesop products, so I've tried several of their items. This serum has an unclear role as a serum, to be honest. The hydration and lightweight formula are great, but it's quite sticky—so tacky that it makes my cream feel sticky too. The stickiness is too much for my morning skincare routine. My sunscreen and cushion foundation slide around, and everything feels heavy and cakey. Aesop is definitely on the pricier side, but I have to say it got me through summer beautifully. Even though it looks like it might be oily, it absorbs so much better than I expected and doesn't leave that greasy feeling at all. It gives you just the right amount of hydration and really helps set a solid foundation. I wouldn't recommend it for oily skin types though. I think this will be perfect once the seasons start changing. The brand itself is amazing, but honestly, compared to other affordable skincare options, it's a bit pricey. It's definitely an investment, but I can really feel the difference in my skin overall since I started using this. Everything just feels so much smoother and healthier. I usually love Aesop's signature scent, but this one feels a bit too strong for my taste. I've been using this for a while now. I think it works really well for dry and combination skin types. I apply it as a final step after my cream to lock everything in. My skin feels so plump and bouncy afterward, and my makeup applies beautifully on top of it. I have combination skin, and I really love how this keeps my skin hydrated at night with just the right amount of moisture. During the day, it feels too sticky and my makeup slides off no matter what I do. I wouldn't recommend it for the price.
