I was using a different product before, but then I bought Avène Mist and received a complimentary cleansing water as a gift! I absolutely love it. When I apply it to a cotton pad and wipe, my makeup comes off like magic—it just melts away effortlessly, and even my eyeliner disappears completely! That said, if you have dry skin, you might find that an oil-based cleanser works better for you. It stung when it got in my eyes. Though honestly, I think most cleansing waters do that. Layer two or three cotton pads together, dampen them with the cleansing water, and gently wipe your face on both sides. Absolutely the best!

If you have acne-prone skin, you typically need to use oil-free products to remove makeup. I've struggled with oil-free cleansers that don't remove makeup effectively, but this product is a game-changer. Despite being oil-free, it removes makeup beautifully and has a pleasant scent, making it really easy to use. The only minor inconvenience is that mascara and lip products require a separate remover, which is a bit of extra work. However, the benefits are so strong that I'm already on my second bottle! Instead of just spraying it on a cotton pad, saturate the pad generously with the product, and it removes makeup wonderfully.

The price is quite steep, and I've noticed Avène keeps reducing the product amount. What used to be 500ml is now 400ml for the same price. It feels a bit deceptive, which has really hurt how I view the brand. Plus, if it accidentally gets in your eyes, it stings and hurts quite a bit. I have sensitive oily skin and have tried many products known for being gentle, but I found Avène Cleansing Water to be gentler compared to other products.
