The color is so versatile and the application is fantastic. It glides on smoothly, and even a tiny amount spreads beautifully across my lips! While the application is smooth, I haven't seen a product highlight dry patches on my lips this noticeably in ages. I apply it in the morning, get to work, look in the mirror, and my lips are completely flaking. Most velvet-finish lip products these days are designed to minimize dryness and hide texture, so I didn't realize my lips were this prone to peeling. Honestly, after using it a few times, my lips just don't look pretty with it on, so I've stopped wearing it. The thing is, even calling this a lip base, there's literally nothing I can layer on top of it without making things worse. The formula is so pigmented that I actually use it as a blush too, just dabbing it on!
