Affordable pricing...! I was first drawn to this product because of the amazing buy-one-get-one deal :) Well, the color was my biggest letdown. It's way too pale and the shade is just unclear. This lipstick works wonderfully as a base layer. It's perfect for deep undertones, and honestly, it's the most versatile base lipstick I've tried from drugstore brands so far. I didn't think I'd use this nude-toned lip color on its own, so I originally bought it as a lip base. But honestly, I've ended up loving it and keep reaching for it! The shade has this beautiful rosy nude tone that doesn't feel heavy or overwhelming at all. Since my eye makeup and blush are pretty bold, this lip color is perfect when I want to dial things back and keep my lips more understated. The formula reminds me of Shu Uemura lipsticks, though it does transfer a bit more. That said, it applies beautifully and the color payoff is really vibrant and true. The formula tends to bunch up a little when I apply it, which is something I noticed. When I tested it on my hand at the store, it was instantly my favorite color. - I'm not a fan of bold lip colors, so this is perfect for me. - It has a matte finish, but it doesn't emphasize dry patches, which I really appreciate. - The price is so reasonable! - The staying power isn't great. After eating or wearing a mask, it fades quite noticeably. - I found the best application method is to apply a lip balm first, let it dry slightly, and then apply the lipstick on top.
