I have a deep undertone, and whenever I apply a glossy lip product, I end up looking matronly and completely off. It seems like there are so many glossy lip products out there for deep undertones, especially with the current trend of luminous lips. As someone who prefers a non-glossy finish, finding the right lip color has become really challenging. I tried this product before it was discontinued, and I fell in love with the formula and the beautiful, understated shade so much that I ended up buying four of them at once. What a great decision that turned out to be! The formula is exactly as the name suggests—water velvet. When you first apply it, it feels watery, but it quickly transforms into a soft, velvety finish. Because it doesn't have any shine, it was absolutely perfect for me. The color is ideal for deep undertones too. It's not muddy at all, just a light apricot shade. It works beautifully on its own, and it's also gorgeous when you use it as a base and add a deeper shade as an accent. What really won me over is the staying power. When I go out wearing this tint and have a drink, it holds up perfectly through the beverage without needing a touch-up. Even after finishing a whole cup, I don't need to reapply. And unless I'm constantly licking my lips while eating dessert, I don't need to touch it up at all. Plus, there's barely any transfer, which made me really happy. Other brands' velvet tints had serious feathering issues, but this one didn't seem to have that problem at all. I've been using tints like this since way back, and I have to say, this brand really knows how to make a velvet tint. Please, bring back the water velvet tint in Amalfi Sunset! Since it's a velvet tint, exfoliating your lips beforehand is essential, and occasionally if your lips are dry, it can emphasize fine lines. Other than those drawbacks, I really loved this tint. Honestly, those downsides are common to all velvet and matte tints, so I don't mind them. It's such a shame that it's been discontinued. I'm currently using the last tint I stocked up on, and soon I'll have to go searching for a new one. If I apply foundation to my lips first, the tint comes out looking muddy, so I prefer applying it to bare lips. After I finish my base makeup and all my color cosmetics, I wipe my lips clean and then apply this tint. Great value for the price! I'm really happy with this purchase. The color is tricky to apply with a water tint formula, but the color payoff is surprisingly impressive. Honestly, I can't think of any real downsides. This coral shade seems like it would be perfect for deep undertones. I was surprised when I swatched it on the back of my hand because it looked so orange, but once I applied it to my lips, it shifted to a beautiful pink tone that I absolutely love. The formula glides on smoothly and the color payoff is fantastic. The artificial fragrance is quite strong, and it tastes unpleasant when it touches my tongue. The color payoff is absolutely stunning, and the shade looks so natural that I wear it every single day! The application is smooth and moisturizing, but it dries down to a soft, powdery finish without any sticky residue. My lips feel incredibly soft and velvety after wearing it. If you have naturally rosy or pink-toned lips, you might want to use a lip base to neutralize your lip color before applying this. My lips tend to have a lot of natural pink undertones, and unless I apply the tint all over my lips, there's a noticeable color difference between the areas where I've applied the tint and where I haven't. I tried the Amalfi Sunset shade and I'm loving it! I picked it up because it was recommended for deep undertones. It's a gorgeous coral-tinted lip color! The formula starts out as a lightweight liquid and transforms into a velvety finish. The shade is absolutely stunning, and I'm really happy with my purchase! The transition from liquid to velvet finish isn't super quick, so it's not the easiest tint to apply smoothly. I also noticed it dries out my lips a bit faster than I'd like, and I need to be pretty careful when defining my lip line with it. Overall, the texture and formula aren't my favorite. That said, I'm still drawn to the color, which makes it a bit disappointing. The surface tone feels warm, and even though it's a water tint, the finish feels incredibly smooth and soft It's pink from start to finish, and honestly, it's just too much pink for me. I'm disappointed because of how pink it turned out

The color is absolutely gorgeous. If you apply it with just the right amount, you can create a beautiful lip look. Application: This water tint glides on smoothly and sets with a perfect, long-lasting finish. Design: The compact size fits perfectly in your hand and is super convenient to carry around. Plus, it looks amazing. Nothing to complain about. It's absolutely perfect as a lip base! I love how it gives my lips such a vibrant, fresh look even when I'm wearing no makeup at all. The formula glides on so smoothly, and it starts as a velvety texture that sets beautifully in place without budging! The applicator tip isn't my favorite, but honestly it's such a minor thing that it doesn't really bother me.
