It comes as a mist spray, but here's what I love - when you spray it close to your skin, it delivers a rich, concentrated formula like an essence, and when you spray from a distance, it creates a fine mist. This flexibility means you can use it however works best for your skin on any given day. The hydration level isn't super intense, so if you have dry skin, you'll probably need to layer it a few times to get enough moisture and nourishment. For me with oily skin, one or two layers gave me the perfect amount of hydration. Before makeup, I apply it like a light mist to create a smooth, dewy base for my foundation. I love using this cream mist because I can hydrate my skin anytime, anywhere. When I spray it close to my face, it applies like a rich cream essence, but I can also spread it out with my fingers for a more customized application. I was disappointed considering how well-known this cream is. The formula doesn't mist as finely as I'd hoped, and there are too many droplets that take forever to dry. I end up having to touch my face to blend it in, which defeats the purpose. Honestly, a lightweight water-based mist would work better if you're looking for that true mist experience.

Even though my skin is dry, this feels like a hydrating moisture serum. It sprays on like a mist, which makes it so convenient to use. It's lightweight, so I think it works great for all skin types. The fragrance is a bit strong—I wish it were a little lighter. That said, I'm glad the scent fades quickly. I love that it comes in a spray format.
