Has anyone else experienced sudden breakouts and skin troubles like I did after using this product? I have combination skin that's dry underneath but gets oily on the surface, and winter makes it even worse with flaking and difficult makeup application. I used the previous version last winter and loved it, so I thought I'd try the new reformulation since it's the same brand. When I applied it before bed or makeup, my skin felt hydrated and I had fewer flakes even with the extra oil production. I could go about three days without major issues. Normally I don't get breakouts, but after switching to this, I suddenly developed forehead acne, tiny bumps, chin breakouts, and congestion all over my face. After switching to a gentler emulsion, things started calming down after a few days. I'm not sure if it's a specific ingredient causing the problem or if the oil content is just too heavy for my skin. I've stopped using it on my face, but since it does help with dryness, I'm applying it to my arms and legs instead. If you have sensitive skin or are prone to breakouts when products are too oily, I'd recommend patch testing this first! I really wanted to keep using it if the breakouts would stop, but unfortunately I had to give up. My mom bought this for firming and elasticity, but I'm in my twenties and I'm seeing amazing results too! When I apply this, my makeup goes on so smoothly and looks flawless. Now that we're in the transitional season, it feels gentle and doesn't tug at my skin. The application is smooth, there's no sticky residue, and it absorbs beautifully. The fragrance might not be for everyone. It has a sweet, slightly headache-inducing floral scent, but honestly, you get used to it pretty quickly, so it didn't bother me. I generally enjoy fragranced skincare products, and I have to say Mamonde's fragrance is still my favorite. It applies so smoothly and feels incredibly soft, plus the scent is lovely. I think this would be perfect for dry skin types. As someone with oily skin, I find this product too heavy and rich for my needs. Product usage period: 2 months or longer Skin type: Dehydrated oily skin I initially purchased the Biohilbo toner and loved it so much that I decided to add the emulsion to my routine. The toner had such excellent spreadability and absorption that I knew the emulsion would be worth trying too. The emulsion truly delivers on both fronts - it glides smoothly across the skin and feels incredibly lightweight. It absorbs beautifully without sitting on the surface, and what I really appreciate is that it leaves my skin feeling hydrated rather than just greasy. Even though my skin tends to get oily as the day goes on, this product strikes the perfect balance. It keeps my skin feeling moisturized and dewy throughout the day, which is exactly what my dehydrated oily skin needs. After cleansing, my skin usually starts producing oil after a while, but this emulsion works wonderfully with my skin type. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the absorption feels slightly less effective compared to the toner. While the spreadability and absorption are genuinely impressive compared to other products, when I use it alongside the toner from the same line, I notice the emulsion doesn't lock in the hydration quite as effectively. The fragrance feels natural and doesn't bother me even with regular use. Since I have combination skin, this product works perfectly for spring and fall with just the right amount of hydration! I haven't experienced any breakouts, and my pores have never felt clogged. I went through two full bottles of both the toner and emulsion back-to-back, but I honestly can't tell if there's any lifting effect. The texture applies smoothly, but during summer it felt like the product was just sitting on top of my skin rather than absorbing properly. I purchased this a month ago and use it daily. The scent is lovely, it doesn't feel greasy at all, and it glides smoothly across my face without any heaviness. I haven't noticed any downsides while using it, and even though I have sensitive combination skin, I'm using it without any breakouts or irritation.
