It actually damages my hair. You know how silicone-based products coat your hair cuticles to make them look smooth, but then wash out and leave your hair more damaged? That's exactly what's happening here. My hair shows changes pretty quickly, so I notice right away. When I was using my previous essence, I had zero split ends at the tips—my hair was actually really damaged before, but that product completely fixed it. But since I switched to this one, the split ends have gotten so bad that I'm back to trimming my hair like I did in high school.

It didn't give me that invigorating tingle I get from rosemary scalp shampoos, but it does provide a nice, adequate level of scalp care. The formula is so watery that it runs down onto your face way too easily. Plus, it's hard to tell if it's spreading evenly throughout your entire hair. The transparent cap was also difficult to open at first. You have to twist it open, but the product leaks out and makes everything slippery and messy. Six months later, I went to the salon for a hush cut and perm, and they helped restore my hair somewhat, but it wasn't quite back to its pre-hippie perm condition. I've been using tons of hair treatment to help repair it. I heard the results were amazing, so I've tried it about three times now. When I apply it, it feels smooth like any other treatment, but after rinsing and drying, it seems pretty much the same at first glance. That said, when I comb through it, there's noticeably less snagging. It looks a bit frizzy on the surface, but there's definitely some shine. It's not quite as silky as I'd hoped, though. My expectations weren't fully met, but since I bought it on a 50% discount, the value for money is really great. That's why I'm giving it 4 stars. >>> Update after the 4th use When I used to comb my hair while drying, the ends would tangle and snag, but with this treatment, combing goes smoothly without any pulling. Wow, this is actually pretty good. Though I have to say, it still looks a bit frizzy on the outside, haha. How I use it: They say you can use it on the scalp too, but since I feel some warmth, I prefer to apply it mainly to the hair strands. I spray it generously and massage it in, and it transforms into a warm, creamy texture. I press it in gently, comb through, leave it on for at least 5 minutes, then rinse. When rinsing, I focus on thoroughly rinsing the scalp, but for the hair strands, I just let water run through without scrubbing too hard, then squeeze out the excess moisture. Great value for the price - the formula works really well and I love that it's gentle enough to use on the scalp too Nothing really, but honestly for a product at this price point, what did I expect? So I just stopped using it
