I've tried so many lip care products over the years, and honestly, only three have truly won me over. One is this agave lip balm, another is a lip balm from a brand that seems to have disappeared now, and the last is a lip conditioner from another brand. I've tested everything people rave about—Fresh Sugar Lip Balm, Clarins lip oil, and even Caudalie's lip balm, which I normally love as a brand but their lip balm just wasn't it for me. No matter what lip care product I used, nothing seemed to actually sink in. They'd just sit on the surface, feel greasy, and then leave my lips flaking and peeling the next day. Even the expensive ones were all the same disappointment. But this one is different. While it doesn't feel quite as moisturizing when you first apply it, the magic happens overnight. My lips don't flake, and they feel soft and protected the next morning. I wish it felt more hydrating when applying it, but it just doesn't have that sensation. That said, it's still better than other high-end lip care products out there. On a side note, when it comes to lipstick, products from brands like YSL and MAC always leave my lips flaky and uncomfortable after application—though this might just be my experience. Beyond the color, the finish just doesn't work for me. The only lipsticks that don't cause flaking and actually feel comfortable are Burberry and Marc Jacobs. NARS was decent too, but since I'm not a huge fan of that brand, I skip it. Even Dior, Chanel, MAC, YSL, and Lancôme leave my lips feeling drier. It feels like you're applying a slightly melted glue stick to your lips - sticky but in a good way. The moisture is so comforting that even just putting it on for a quick moment when you're in a rush gives you peace of mind. Honestly, this product does absolutely nothing. I genuinely love Bite products, but this one makes me wonder what it was even designed for. There's zero noticeable effect. Even when you apply it, the results last maybe two to three minutes before it just vanishes like it was never there. On top of that, the scent is pretty off-putting, and if you accidentally get some in your mouth, the taste is absolutely terrible.
