Squeeze out the oil, massage it in, and wipe it away with a tissue—it removes everything cleanly. It even takes off permanent marker with ease. Even though it's an oil, it's surprisingly not greasy at all. You don't need a double cleanse because there's zero residue left behind, and it finishes with a beautiful matte feel. So clean and refined. That's why it works great for touch-ups throughout the day too. Most cleansing oils have a noticeable scent, but this one has such a subtle fragrance—barely there, which is wonderful. It feels really gentle on the skin. The pump dispenses perfectly too. It doesn't gush out all at once; you get just the right amount each time. I honestly can't complain about the performance—it does exactly what a cleansing product should. On days when I wear makeup, I use oil for my first cleanse and it removes everything so well. I really love it! Usually when I use oil, from what I understand, it's supposed to dissolve or remove sebum. But after using this product, I felt like my skin was producing even more oil for a moment. I pump this two or three times onto my palm or a cotton pad as my first cleanse, and it's become my go-to product for removing makeup. The subtle lavender scent is absolutely lovely, and it removes makeup beautifully. I have no complaints whatsoever. The fragrance is wonderful and it removes makeup effectively, so I'm really satisfied with this product. After cleansing, your skin feels soft and comfortable without any dryness, which is really satisfying. Since it's a Bobbi Brown product, the price is quite steep. The container is large and heavy, making it impractical for travel, and it takes up a lot of space in the bathroom. Because it's an oil-based formula, it can be tricky to control how much you use, and if you apply too much, it's not very economical. I've been using this for a while now and honestly, it's fantastic all around. True to its oil-based formula, the cleansing power is really impressive. There is a slight slippery residue left behind, but a second cleanse with a foam cleanser takes care of it completely. The cleansing power is excellent and it rinses away so thoroughly that I can complete my entire makeup removal in just one step without needing a second cleanse. I really love how efficient this is. Since my skin is sensitive and tends to react poorly to incompatible cleansers, I was thrilled that this product didn't cause any irritation or breakouts. When I used this cleansing oil to remove makeup around my eyes, there was absolutely no stinging or eye irritation, which I absolutely loved! If you're looking for a cleansing oil that leaves your skin feeling both hydrated and refreshed, I highly recommend this product! The only downside is the price point, which feels a bit steep. Otherwise, I had no complaints or disappointments while using this cleansing oil. Before cleansing, make sure to wash your hands thoroughly. After using the cleansing oil to dissolve your makeup, be sure to add water to your skin and massage gently to complete the emulsification process. For waterproof mascara or heavy eye makeup, I recommend using an eye makeup remover first before applying the cleansing oil.
