Posted on May 17, 2024 Honestly, I'm so frustrated because the shade just isn't bright enough. If it had been lighter, I would've kept using it forever. During summer, I apply one layer of a brightening sunscreen with strong white cast, and the color looks decent enough. But in winter, after applying one layer of brightening sunscreen and then mineral brightening base on top, I get serious flaking and it breaks down terribly. But if I switch to organic brightening base instead, the brightening effect isn't as strong compared to the mineral version, so that's the problem. I'm currently testing out different products to find a better solution. This is great for people with sensitive skin. When I used it before, I didn't know any better and was applying Physiogel as my base. I got breakouts after applying it, so I thought it was the makeup products causing the issue and stopped using it. But recently I've been trying lots of different products including cushions, and nothing seemed to help. So I switched out all my base products for better formulas and tried this Bobbi Brown again, and guess what? All my breakouts completely cleared up! It's clear that if you have acne-prone skin, skipping cushion foundation is the way to go. I can't say this twin cake texture is perfect for everyone, but for me it's honestly such a great match. I really hope this doesn't get discontinued because I'll be using it for life! It seems perfect for oily skin. Since I have oily skin, I don't layer my base products heavily. In the morning, I just use a lightweight watery essence, sunscreen, and this Bobbi Brown stick foundation. That's it. My makeup applies so quickly and looks flawless. As long as I control the amount I use, even when it does break down throughout the day, it still looks pretty. My skin tone is naturally quite fair, but this shade doesn't look luminous enough. That's why I use a sunscreen with a strong white cast instead. When I do that, my skin tone looks nicely brightened and radiant. When I do my base makeup in the morning, I use one sponge to apply both my essence and sunscreen all over my face. The sponge gets slightly damp from the hydration, and then I apply the Bobbi Brown stick foundation by swiping it on. Then I use that same sponge to press and blend it in, and it blends beautifully. When I need to touch up outside, I keep a puff in a separate puff case with me. When I'm in a rush, I just look in a compact mirror, use the stick to lightly touch up any areas where the foundation has faded, and blend it out with my fingers and I'm done. Honestly, I can't think of any inconvenient aspects about it. - mi*******Da khôLàm sáng da / Đốm thâmNếp nhăn / Độ đàn hồiLỗ chân lông toĐược đề xuất16/11/2022 (UTC+0)
Bobbi Brown's powder foundation always delivers beautiful color payoff. Unlike other brands, it doesn't have that yellowish cast—it comes out in a gorgeous ivory shade. The stick format is absolutely perfect for travel or keeping in your makeup bag! It fits so neatly, the color is stunning, it blends like a dream, and it's incredibly convenient to use. Plus, you don't have to worry about any leakage. The amount of product is really disappointing—it runs out so quickly. And for the quantity you get, the price feels steep. When you apply the stick over a slightly dewy base like sunscreen, it glides on smoothly and blends beautifully with a sponge too. I mostly used it with a flat blue sponge, and it worked wonderfully.
