You can scoop out the product with a spatula, which makes it super hygienic and convenient to use. The texture is way too thick, so it doesn't spread smoothly on the skin. I'm not sure if it's really as moisturizing as claimed. This rich, creamy formula is packed with nourishing oils that deliver amazing hydration. I loved mixing it with the baby body emulsion for an even better result! I've been using this on my baby's dry skin and I'm really impressed! It applies smoothly without any sticky residue and absorbs beautifully into the skin. Plus, the price point is fantastic for the amount you get! I wish the cream came in a pump dispenser instead. Having to scoop it out each time doesn't feel very hygienic to me. I originally bought this for my child's winter hydration, but I suddenly developed eczema around my eyes, so I've been using it myself now. I never had eczema before, but since it appeared out of nowhere, I can't use most of my other skincare products anymore. Eye makeup and essences, serums—they all irritate my skin. When I applied this product, the irritation calmed down, and it's so gentle that I don't feel any stinging at all. The texture spreads smoothly and feels refreshing when I apply a thicker layer. I've been keeping a generous amount on all day long. Deep down, my skin feels drier than I expected. Using just this product alone leaves me feeling a bit parched. When my eczema flares up, applying a thick layer to the affected area really soothes it. Recently their skin got really irritated, so we started using steroid treatments and oral medications. That's when we decided to try the Lipid Barrier intensive hydration cream, and I'm sharing this review after using it for a bit longer. The bottom line is that even for my kids' sensitive skin, there were absolutely no breakouts or irritation. Honestly, a few months ago when the kids got older, I wanted to switch up their emulsion and cleanser, so we tested products from seven different brands. The results were disappointing. The brands with really strong moisturizing actually clogged pores and brought back the folliculitis that had improved, while the brands with insufficient hydration left their skin cracked and dry like parched earth. The important thing is that when products don't work, they get itchy, develop hives, and all sorts of reactions. But this botanical formula didn't trigger any allergic responses, and the hydration level was just right, so no folliculitis came back either. I first discovered this brand when we used their sunscreen for babies, but I didn't realize their moisturizing products were this effective. Anyway, what's clear is that the coin-shaped eczema on their lower body, which was the worst, has really improved significantly! The texture is so thick that when I just apply it, it doesn't absorb well. At first, the kids complained about how long it took to apply the emulsion. It was frustrating. So I started applying it right after they got out of the bath while still in the bathroom. Even though there's no irritation, the kids didn't like how long it took to apply, so I mixed it with the soothing gel we were already using in a 7 to 3 ratio, and it spread so smoothly and absorbed really well. The spreadability is exactly what I love - that thick, luxurious consistency. But it's not overly oily or heavy at all, and the finish is so clean that I find myself reaching for it constantly. Because it's so hydrating, my skin feels incredibly moisturized after application, and that hydration lasts for hours! Honestly, there's nothing bad about it - no real complaints! The only thing is that the spatula could be a bit larger.
