Even though there are small granules in it, it doesn't irritate my skin at all - it actually feels refreshing. The lather is fantastic and it removes makeup beautifully. Even when it accidentally gets in my eyes, it doesn't sting harshly. I've been using it for both my morning and evening cleanse, and it performs wonderfully for every step of my routine. There were none, really. Really, there were none.
