My hair was incredibly dry and brittle, so I started searching for a solution. I discovered this essence while using half a bottle, and I realized it's not like other essences where you just apply and go. I use a protein treatment from the salon daily, but honestly, the real magic happens when I finish with this essence. Without it, my hair is barely manageable. At first, I wasn't satisfied at all and thought I'd just use it up quickly. But then I tried it a few days ago and something amazing happened - my hair texture was so good the next day too! Here's my technique: dry your hair only 20-30 percent so water still drips from it. Use a fan with cool air to dry roughly. Split your hair in half and squeeze out just a thumbnail amount. Rub it between your palms until it warms up, then apply evenly to your damp hair. Dry lightly with cool air. Once your hair feels slightly moisturized, finish with an oil-based essence. The result? My previously dry, frizzy hair now feels plump and hydrated - it's incredible! I wasn't reaching for this essence much before, so I gave one bottle to a friend and was reluctantly using the other. I think I just didn't know the right application method until now. If you use too much product, your hair gets weighed down. Since I don't have much hair volume, when I split my hair in half, I only use a thumbnail amount for each side. Hair essence products tend to have similar formulations across the board. Even expensive, well-known brands use mostly the same key ingredients, and honestly, they're not particularly special. So compared to those pricey options, this one is actually pretty solid. I have thick hair with some frizz at the roots, and I really love how this rich, high-viscosity formula gently smooths everything down and keeps it in place. Lighter emulsion-type products? Even after applying them two or three times, it feels like nothing's really sticking. Since I'm constantly dealing with damaged hair from regular perms and coloring, I'd definitely recommend this for anyone with my hair type! Just be careful not to apply it to completely dry hair or it'll clump up. Oh, and if you're looking for a hair essence with a nice fragrance, you might want to skip this one. I'm halfway through using this and while the formula is thick like the description says, the bottle opening is way too small. It's such a pain to squeeze out! The product comes out in tiny amounts, so I have to squeeze with all my might every single time, which is really frustrating. I'd love it if they either redesigned the bottle opening or made the formula a bit thinner. Since it has that thick, sticky consistency like diluted petroleum jelly, people with fine or thin hair might find it looks completely clumpy. Before drying your hair after shampooing, apply this product to both your front and back sections. It really helps smooth down your cuticles and smells amazing! To be honest, I bought it because I loved the purple packaging. Seeing a color I adore so often really lifts my mood. It's quite sticky, and applying it evenly throughout my hair is trickier compared to other products. I end up with clumpy sections that don't blend well. The container design is absolutely gorgeous. When I apply this compared to other products, rubbing it between my palms generates a bit of warmth. I purchased this hair essence because the ingredients are absolutely fantastic. * Formula It's an emulsion type, with a slightly thicker consistency compared to typical emulsions. * Application feel/Absorption/Hair texture I always apply it after towel-drying, and the spreadability is great with excellent absorption. Once it fully dries, my hair becomes incredibly soft and smooth. Since my hair tends to be a bit frizzy, I'm really satisfied with how it tames it. The results last a long time too. * Scent It's fragrance-free, so anyone can use it without worrying about clashing with other products. The only thing to note is that using too much can make your hair feel greasy. I really appreciate that it's fragrance-free and doesn't contain any oil ingredients. It's a solid product overall. Unlike heat-protective products like Silk Therapy, this one doesn't offer that same level of heat protection. I'm not sure if it's because it contains distilled water or something else, but I can't use it before blow-drying. I'm also disappointed that it has silicone in it. If you love fragrance-free products, I'd definitely recommend this one.
