While they're pricier than some options, what impressed me immediately was how gentle and soothing they feel during cleansing, even though my skin stays comfortable throughout. Despite containing exfoliating ingredients, there's absolutely no irritation—they're genuinely mild. The finish leaves skin slightly dewy, but it feels more like the pads preserve your skin's natural moisture rather than adding extra hydration. It's more about preventing dryness than delivering intensive moisture. The dewy finish isn't slick or oily—after rinsing with water, your skin feels clean and refreshed. It's completely different from heavy moisturizing formulas marketed for dry skin. Essence Amount: The liquid on these pads is actually quite minimal. Some cleansing pads are drenched with essence, but these are perfectly saturated into the pad itself without excess. Even though I usually prefer less liquid, I found myself wishing there was slightly more. The pads are adequately wet right now, but I'm a bit concerned they might dry out quickly after the expiration date. The upside is that the liquid doesn't drip during use or get in your eyes, which is super convenient! Cleansing Power: I can remove a full face of makeup with just one pad! That said, the cleansing strength isn't intense enough to remove thick foundation in one swipe. With multiple passes or by letting the pad sit on skin for about three seconds, makeup comes off without any irritation. For eye makeup, pressing firmly for three seconds removes even waterproof eyeliner and mascara. Quick swipes won't cut it for eye makeup, so an eye makeup remover is ideal, but honestly I just use one pad and call it done. Overall, these feel like a gentle, non-irritating product rather than an aggressive cleanser. Pad Quality: The pads are incredibly durable and sturdy! They're thick and have a textured surface. Even though they're made from biodegradable material, I expected some shedding, but they don't shed at all—even with vigorous rubbing. Regular cotton pads usually pill easily, but these stay completely intact. I even tried tearing one after use, and it just stretched without ripping. The eco-friendly aspect combined with this quality is impressive. Deep Cleansing: The product page only mentions applying cleanser to the pad, but Jung Sam Mul's YouTube channel has detailed instructions. Following their method—pad cleanse, then shower or steam, then deep cleanse—really delivers results! Rolling and massaging like you would with cleansing oil helps visibly clear sebum and dead skin around the nose area. I regularly use oils and masks, but this physical cleansing method shows immediate results in skin texture smoothness. If you buy these, definitely watch their tutorial video and try their method! Overall Thoughts: The biodegradable material alone makes me want to repurchase. At around twenty thousand won for a three-month supply, this product quality feels like a great value for Jung Sam Mul. These work best for dry, normal, combination, and sensitive skin types. I'd especially recommend them for people who focus on sunscreen and light base makeup rather than heavy waterproof color cosmetics. Drawbacks: No-rinse formula—this is the biggest letdown. The whole appeal of cleansing pads is convenience, and this requires rinsing. At least you can finish with a toner pad instead. The expiration date is three months after opening. With seventy pads used five days a week, that's fourteen weeks, so I wish the shelf life was longer. Though honestly, seventy pads is much better than sixty! Pro tip: Instead of opening the lid normally, keep the middle seal in place and twist the entire container to separate it. This way, the clip is easier to store and the pads stay fresher longer!

The scent is subtle and pleasant without being overwhelming, and my skin feels hydrated even after cleansing. I was impressed that there was no irritation even when I rubbed a bit more firmly than usual. I've also noticed an exfoliating effect, as my skin feels noticeably smoother after using it. I really can't think of any downsides. I'm definitely going to keep using this product.
