I used it as a first essence instead of a toner, and I also tested it as a sheet mask on my face—it works great for everything without any issues. I didn't notice any standout benefits. I'm not sure if my skin just responds better to centella asiatica than houttuynia cordata, but honestly, I didn't feel that calming effect I was hoping for. The amount you get for the price is really generous, and I'm really happy with it. I'm using it well. I wish there was more detailed information about the ingredients listed. It's frustrating not knowing exactly how much houttuynia cordata extract is actually in the product.

I spray it directly on my scalp before blow-drying and then dry my hair. It has a lightweight, water-based formula that's really gentle, making it suitable for sensitive skin and all skin types. I mix it into my modeling mask, add it to my final rinse water with a cleansing toner, drop it into my skin toner, and sometimes even use the pure essence as an exfoliating toner. It's incredibly versatile! The scent is pleasant too. There really aren't any downsides since it works well no matter how you use it. It's not exactly a secret tip, but I sometimes use it as an exfoliating toner and it works great, right?
