While it doesn't have that greasy, slick feeling, the moisture retention is excellent for a lip balm. At first, I thought it was too matte and didn't work properly, but after using it consistently, I realized how great it actually is. The way it works is that your lips' natural warmth gently melts the balm, and since it's oil-free, the hydration lasts really long. That's why I apply this before heading out, then layer a tint or lipstick on top, and honestly, my lips stay flake-free and moisturized all day long. Since there's no oil, I don't have to worry about the balm getting on everything around me, and it stays put on my lips perfectly. I definitely recommend it. When you first apply it, your lips feel hydrated and look nice, but as time passes, you're left with lips that only have moisture and no flakiness. Highly recommend for when you're heading out.
