I love how it controls shine on my T-zone, which means my makeup stays put all day long. The formula gives my skin a natural, brightened glow that makes my whole face look radiant. This is absolutely perfect for summer or if you have oily skin like me. If you have dry skin, this might feel a bit parched on your complexion, and honestly, the coverage is pretty minimal. If you apply too much, it can look white and chalky, so you'll need to be careful with how much you use. The SPF isn't super high either, so if you're going to be out in strong sunlight, it's better to pair this with a dedicated sunscreen for real protection.

I knew I absolutely had to invest in a primer, so I picked one up during a trip to Japan since it's supposedly famous there! The blue primer seems to be more popular, but since I'm not really into heavy color correction and my skin got darker after a beach vacation, plus I've always hated the mismatch between my face and neck tone, I went with the pink one to just add a bit of natural flush. Since you don't need to use much of this product (applying too much can actually make the primer look cakey), it doesn't dramatically transform your skin tone! But when it comes to keeping your base intact all day? This is absolutely incredible! When I apply it in the morning, even during peak summer heat, I barely need to touch up my makeup throughout the day. It holds up beautifully. During winter, my skin tone gets noticeably brighter around shade 19, so I'm thinking about switching to the blue primer for that season. The marketing claims it controls shine and minimizes pores, and while it definitely tackles shine, the pore-minimizing effect is questionable for me (I have seriously large pores). On days when my pores really bother me, I need to use an additional pore primer to see real results. I apply just a small amount to areas where I tend to get oily. I picked up this Japanese product during a trip because it's known as an affordable alternative to Chanel's May Ève. I was already using the original Chanel version, so I decided to try out this budget-friendly option. The price is definitely reasonable, and I loved how smoothly it glides on with a moisturizing finish. Compared to Chanel's May Ève, the quality definitely doesn't quite measure up. The Chanel version gives you a radiant, luminous shift in tone that works beautifully on its own, but this one feels a bit tricky to wear solo. I purchased and used this product throughout the summer. The lightweight formula absorbs quickly and really boosts makeup longevity. By the afternoon when I'm heading out of the office, I can definitely see a difference on days when I've applied it versus days when I haven't. Some people might not love the slight oily feel when you first apply it. Personally, I didn't find it inconvenient to use at all. I never realized how much of a difference a makeup primer could make until I tried this one! My face stays less oily throughout the day, my makeup doesn't fade or shift, and it really stays put on my skin. The color payoff is fantastic too. The makeup applies beautifully and adheres well to my skin overall, but I did notice some lifting and separation around my nose area. I recommend applying it with gentle tapping motions for the best results.
