The application and absorption are both excellent, but what really stands out is that signature Chanel fragrance I love so much, and this emulsion has it. That's exactly why I ended up buying not just the emulsion but the body mist too. You might notice a slightly tacky finish, but if you have dry skin, I don't think you'd mind it at all. This product truly lives up to its name as an essence emulsion. Other than the sticky feeling, there's really nothing else to complain about. This emulsion applies smoothly and feels lightweight while delivering moisture and gentle care with quick absorption. It doesn't feel heavy under sunscreen or as a makeup primer, and it apparently has anti-aging benefits too, so it seems to have some real functional value. The generous size means you can be generous with application on your face without worrying about running out. Since it's summer and air conditioning can be drying, you have options: you can layer it with a lightweight hydrating cream on top (if you use Chanel, their Hydra or Blanc lines work beautifully), or you can go straight to sunscreen and foundation and powder. It really depends on what your skin needs that day. I'm currently on my second bottle and use it alongside the Camellia Serum and Essence Emulsion. My skin is combination with sensitivity, so I deal with occasional breakouts, but this works well for my skin type. The downside is that it's not affordable, and honestly, the price keeps going up every year. My routine after cleansing is: toner or skin treatment, essence, eye cream, essence emulsion, makeup primer, then powder. When applying, I use just a tiny amount of each step and adjust the quantity as needed. I'm keeping my skincare routine simple right now, just using essence and cream to keep things minimal. As the weather gets warmer, I love how clean and fresh my skin feels with this streamlined approach! Even though it's a basic skincare product, the fact that it's from Chanel makes it pricey. This essence has a lovely lightweight texture! It glides onto skin smoothly without any irritation, and it dries down to a comfortable, dewy finish without any stickiness. The more I use this product, the more radiant my complexion becomes, my skin texture improves, and my skin looks absolutely luminous! When I check my skin the next morning, it feels so hydrated, bouncy, and plump—I absolutely love it! The fragrance is absolutely divine. It has a beautiful floral scent that's so calming and soothing—it really puts my mind at ease. This nourishing toner is rich enough to use in place of a traditional skin toner, and it also preps my skin beautifully to help my serums and ampoules absorb even better. Since my skin is quite sensitive and reactive, I usually have trouble with products causing irritation or flare-ups, but this one has been so gentle. I haven't experienced any breakouts or sensitivity issues at all, which is amazing! I definitely recommend this product! I honestly didn't find anything disappointing about this product.

I had a bad experience with a dermatological laser treatment, and for years now I've been dealing with extremely sensitive skin that cycles between rosacea, contact dermatitis, and folliculitis. I'm incredibly careful about which skincare products I use. My favorite ingredients are panthenol, EGF, comfrey root, niacinamide, peony root extract, lupeol, ceramides, and hyaluronic acid. I avoid exfoliating agents, mineral oil, shea butter, fragrance, alcohol, and fermented ingredients, so I always check the ingredient list before buying anything. Before my skin got reactive, I used SK-II Facial Treatment Essence and Estée Lauder's brown bottle regularly, but I can't use them anymore. Writing all this out makes me feel sad and frustrated, honestly. When Camellia opened their first pop-up store, I got so excited and bought their fragrance, essence, serum, and everything else, plus gifts for friends. I was worried about triggering a reaction, so I let the products sit for a month before using them. But I really wanted to try them, so I thought, "Whatever, if my skin reacts, I'll just go to the dermatologist," and I started using them anyway. They're amazing. I've been using them consistently ever since. They help with brightening, skin texture, pores, and hydration. I thought I'd just have to accept aging, but knowing I can do antioxidant care makes me so happy. I use almost all my skincare products in fragrance-free formulas, but I actually love the scent of this line, and it puts me in such a good mood. If you have sensitive, reactive skin like mine and can't tolerate strong actives, I really recommend trying this. If you have normal skin, I'd suggest going for the serum instead. One thing though—stress is the root of all skin problems, right? Even with consistent skincare, when I'm stressed about frustrating situations, my dermatitis flares up. During those times, I focus on early intervention with dermatology visits and LDM treatments, and I keep my routine minimal with just hydration. Once things calm down, I go back to my regular skincare routine. I tried this product after reading so many helpful reviews, and I'm really glad I did. I picked this up based on a recommendation and I'm so impressed! The scent is absolutely amazing - seriously, it smells incredible. It absorbs into my skin super quickly after application, and my complexion feels beautifully hydrated. I heard this product has brightening benefits, which is perfect for me since I've been a devoted fan of AMOREPACIFIC Bio Essence for its whitening properties. I just started using it today, so I'm excited to see how it performs over time! I honestly can't find anything to complain about. There's really nothing negative to say. The product amount is generous, the fragrance is lovely, and everything about it is great.
