The coverage is excellent and it feels so hydrating. When it does wear throughout the day, it breaks down beautifully without looking patchy, so you won't see any pores or dry spots showing through. If you have combination skin, I absolutely recommend this foundation! Even when my skin isn't looking its best, applying this means I don't have to worry about texture showing through—it's honestly my holy grail product! The scent is pleasant and the formula is solid, so I'm really happy with it. I really hope they never discontinue this! The shade range isn't super extensive, and the other color options seemed darker and more reddish to me. That said, if you have fair skin, the BD01 shade is really beautiful! Twenty years ago, I was so thrilled with how my skin looked when I first tried Chanel foundation that I decided to repurchase it after spotting a similar bottle. Back then, my skin was naturally flawless, so any product I applied worked beautifully. These days though, I find myself drawn to foundations with stronger coverage. This foundation definitely delivers impressive coverage. It does a fantastic job evening out blemishes and unifying my skin tone, but I have to say it does feel a bit heavy when applied. It tends to look noticeably made-up, and if I skip my skincare routine, the foundation can actually crack and separate. I think this is something people will have different feelings about depending on their preferences. I personally found it works much better when I blend it with other products rather than wearing it alone. When I do that, the adhesion improves and my skin looks so much more natural and seamless. The shade range is nice, but even the lightest color runs a bit darker than I expected, which was disappointing. Overall, the coverage is truly impressive, but the thickness and undertone leave me wanting a bit more. That's why I deducted a star from my rating. Still, it's quintessentially Chanel—there's something satisfying and mood-boosting about having this foundation sitting on your vanity. It's a product I genuinely enjoy using. The texture feels too heavy, which is a letdown. Depending on how thorough my skincare routine is, the foundation can leave my skin feeling dry. I reach for it constantly when I want a clean, refined complexion with a semi-matte finish. It's a powerhouse during summer and absolutely excels at filling pores. The staying power is impressive too—even after sweating through a run or spending time in the heat, it holds up beautifully everywhere except where I've touched my face. It's definitely one of my top summer foundation recommendations. The shade range isn't as extensive as some newer brands, so I did need to do a test beforehand. Since I use it during summer when my skin gets more sun-kissed, I've been using both the B10 and BD01 shades together. I apply B10 first, then layer BD01 on my cheekbones, nose, and highlight areas for dimension and depth. The B10 reads a bit yellow-toned on me, so the BD01 really helps brighten things up, especially before I apply blush. When I apply it with a spatula using light, feathering motions, it never looks thick or heavy. Even with just a small amount, my skin tone looks polished and luxurious overall. The pore coverage is exceptional, and the longevity is outstanding—it's become one of my favorite foundations to wear even on days when I'm not driving around in the heat. The formula blends so smoothly with the spatula and doesn't feel overly matte, so as long as I keep up with my skincare routine, my dry skin stays comfortable all day. The texture is surprisingly unique and feels amazing. The scent is absolutely lovely. After I remove it, my skin looks noticeably better and more radiant. This foundation gets terribly stuck in my pores - I've never experienced anything like it before. For the price, it's really disappointing. I wish someone had warned me about this sooner. If you have enlarged pores, I'd definitely skip this one. Try mixing it with other foundations to find your perfect match. This formula isn't overly hydrating, so it sets onto the skin instantly with a seamless finish. Since I love that semi-matte look, I'm really happy with it. As time goes on, the shade blends beautifully with my skin tone and the color looks even more flattering. I'm getting some redness, so I've been using it on and off. Even though it's supposed to be semi-matte, it's really emphasizing my dry patches and texture.
