As I've gotten older, my skin has become extremely dry, so I use this mainly during winter months (around December to January). This was the first product I committed to using every single night, and I had such high hopes for it, but I didn't notice any real improvement, so I stopped using it. While the absorption was excellent, my skin still felt parched underneath. The application process was also inconvenient, so I ended up abandoning it. I understand it's meant to boost effectiveness, but there are some inconvenient aspects to using it. The absorption is good, but it doesn't really lock in moisture or address the dryness. I downloaded the app to write this review after purchasing Shard a month ago, and I'm snapping a photo of it now. I'll admit I was drawn in by Instagram posts, but I absolutely love this product. The instructions say mixing both formulas together makes enough for a week of use, but even when I apply it generously morning and night, it lasts me a good ten days. The application is so smooth, and there's this amazing feeling where my wrinkles seem to smooth out right after I apply it. I've been using the Shard eye patch once a week with 1100 shots, and I can really see the difference. My skin is delicate and prone to fine lines, but they've noticeably improved. I even asked my daughter if she noticed a change in my skin, and she said it genuinely looks better. Mixing the two formulas is such a hassle. I assume it's to keep the product fresh? My skin is super sensitive. It's thin, reactive, and prone to redness, which can be frustrating. As I've gotten older, I switched from my usual basic routine to more targeted treatments, and I was already feeling anxious about it. Then my skin got hit hard by cold wind, my barrier completely broke down, and everything fell apart. I hadn't bought this in a while, but I'm back to it now. With sensitive skin like mine, I have to be careful every time I change even one basic product. If you want your skin to recover and regenerate quickly, just get this. It's honestly the best. When I use this, my skin bounces back in about a week. The real challenge is maintaining that recovery, so make sure you find products that work for your skin and look for good ingredients. Stick with a solid basic routine consistently. Essential ingredients for skin calming and recovery: ceramides and hyaluronic acid—these are non-negotiable. I was going to complain about the price, but then I looked at other regenerating serums with stem cell extracts and all that, and honestly, the price here isn't bad at all. One thing though—be careful when opening the container. The seal is really tight, so I gently pry it open with a small tool.
