The only positive thing is that it doesn't irritate my eyes. Honestly, that's really the only good thing about it. This isn't a brightening product at all—it's just a white cast. Calling this a brightening formula would be really misleading. Even though my skin is dry, after applying it my face looks shiny and greasy. With the white cast combined with that greasy finish, my face just looks heavy and dull. Plus it feels sticky and thick, so after I put it on my face feels suffocated and uncomfortable. If I wear this in the middle of summer and start sweating, I'd probably get white streaks running down my face while looking incredibly oily. I absolutely cannot recommend this. Since I already bought it I felt like I had to use it, so I tried different things. I found that if I gently blot my face with oil blotting papers after application to control the excess shine, it's somewhat tolerable. Price: I'm really happy with this purchase because I got it at a great deal during a beauty expo. The price point is totally reasonable, so I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. It definitely gives off a positive vibe. Once I started using it, I noticed the packaging isn't super rigid, so there's a tiny learning curve when it comes to dispensing the right amount. But honestly, it's not a deal-breaker at all. My skin is really dry and prone to clogged pores, so I'm usually pretty picky about products. This sunscreen applies smoothly without feeling heavy, and it doesn't have that typical sunscreen stuffiness. It's labeled as a tone-up sunscreen, but the brightening effect is pretty similar to a regular sunscreen. The scent is subtle and pleasant—just a light cosmetic fragrance that doesn't bother me. Since I'm only wearing sunscreen without makeup, cleansing is super easy too. I'll need to test it through the summer to be completely sure, but I'm already impressed enough to consider repurchasing! Like I mentioned, the packaging does make it a bit tricky to control how much product comes out. That said, if this design means we're using even a little less plastic, I'm totally willing to make that trade-off. Every late August and early September, my skin tone gets really weird—kind of grayish. I hate getting tanned, so I apply sunscreen religiously, but it builds up over the summer. Then when the weather cools down a bit, I sometimes skip a day, and that's all it takes—my face gets dull and discolored. Even with sunscreen, my skin tans so easily. It appears to be a mineral formula and waterproof. If water gets on it, it beads up on the surface. Foam cleanser alone wasn't enough to remove it, so I did a second cleanse with cleansing oil. Layering it directly over a hydrating sunscreen causes it to feel heavy. Even applying this product twice in quick succession feels heavy. The dispenser could use improvement—it gets messy, and the cap area is hard to wipe clean with tissue. Using it alone (single application) doesn't cause any heaviness.
