This lip color has such impressive staying power. Even after eating or drinking, the color beautifully lingers on my lips. The matte finish is fantastic for longevity, and while it can emphasize dry patches, I absolutely can't give up on this product because the color payoff is genuinely stunning. Most other brands' dried rose shades tend to look washed out, chalky, or murky. But Clio's dried rose is different—it delivers this rich, vibrant intensity with just a hint of that luminous quality that's absolutely gorgeous. The color is so well-executed. I've gone through two full tubes of Rose Haze alone, and what I have now is my last one. Since it's been discontinued and no longer in production, the only way to get the same shade is through resellers or secondhand marketplaces. Why did Clio discontinue this?! One of Clio's biggest drawbacks is how quickly their shades get phased out, just like the old department store counters. Even when you find a color you love, you can't repurchase the exact same product later. For those of you who consider Rose Haze your holy grail lip—what shade are you using now? I visited an Olive Young store and tested every matte lip they had, but couldn't find anything close. There was one shade that looked somewhat similar under the store's warm lighting, but under natural daylight or fluorescent lights, it was completely different. I'm a fan of Clio lip products, so I decided to try this one. I have a cool undertone for summer, and this shade worked beautifully with my skin tone. The color is a soft, muted my-lips-but-better pink that looked absolutely gorgeous. Even on days when I skip makeup, it looks natural and effortless. The texture is incredibly smooth, and the lipstick isn't thick, making it easy to apply. I didn't really have any complaints. Since it's a matte formula, you'll want to exfoliate your lips well before applying it. That said, it's not overly matte, so as long as you take good care of your lips, it applies beautifully without any issues. This is the first lipstick I've ever tried, and I'm really impressed! For context, I have a cool undertone. First, the formula is incredibly matte and applies so smoothly. Second, the color isn't overwhelming at all and works beautifully as an everyday shade. It's almost identical to my natural lip color, just with a slightly pinker tone. The shade is a soft, muted pink that feels very wearable. Third, I'm really happy with the ingredient list. Since this is my first lip product, I'm not sure if this is normal, but even after using a remover, the color seemed to linger a bit on my lips. I'm a warm undertone person, but I was pleasantly surprised by how well this cool-toned shade actually works for me. I really love it! It's like a dried rose shade, but with a richer, cleaner tone that feels really unique! I think this shade would suit everyone, whether you have a light or deep undertone - you really should grab it. The staying power and color payoff are both fantastic with nothing to complain about. Honestly, there's not a single downside. You absolutely have to get this! I found my perfect lip color for life. As someone with a deep undertone, on days when I feel like the shade sits a bit too warm on me, I apply a muted deep undertone base color first and then layer this on top - and it looks perfect that way.
