If you're not a cool-toned power type but warm-toned lipsticks just don't work for you, I highly recommend this shade! I can't pull off super dark colors, and I didn't want something completely nude with zero payoff either. After searching around, I decided to give this a try, and I'm absolutely thrilled with the color! It gives just the right amount of vitality and while it works beautifully on cool undertones, it's not so bold that it overwhelms. Plus, the case has this lovely watercolor aesthetic that I'm obsessed with! The staying power wasn't great for me. It fades pretty quickly, and if you apply it without prepping your lips first, it shows every dry patch and disappears fast. Though I guess that's just the nature of a matte lipstick, so it's kind of unavoidable. Here's a trick I discovered: after applying lip balm and while there's still a bit of moisture, I gently tap this product just along the outer edges to add color, then blend the inner part again. One-coat color payoff: This delivers such a soft, effortless pink shade without feeling heavy. The cool tone is universally flattering and works beautifully on everyone. Formula: It's a matte lipstick, but the texture is surprisingly smooth and comfortable. (Note: The actual color appears richer than in the attached photo. Also, the photo shows the lipstick with a lip essence layered on top, so keep that in mind when comparing!) Since it's a matte formula, you might notice some dry patches or flaking. That said, if you follow the tips I mentioned, it's totally manageable and easy to prevent. If you're worried about dryness, here's my trick: apply a generous layer of lip balm before bed and sleep with it on. When you wake up the next morning, all the flaking is completely gone. Personally, I think the color is absolutely gorgeous, and I love adding shine to it. I've tried the Rom&N lipstick in Pink Sand, which is famous for cool-toned bases, and this one seems to emphasize dry patches less? Of course, since it's a matte lipstick, some texture show-through is inevitable, but it's definitely less noticeable than the Rom&N version! This shade works beautifully for those with undertones between warm and cool! The application is incredibly smooth, and the packaging is absolutely gorgeous! The downside is that it tends to fade easily. It can also emphasize dry patches and fine lines on the lips. There's a slight white cast too. Since it applies so smoothly, you'll need to be careful with how much pressure you use! Try applying it sheer as a base, then layer a water tint on the inner lips and blend it out for a beautiful gradient effect!
