What a charming tube-shaped package that's absolutely full of character! The cream formula with its balanced oil content was perfect for winter use. I got to try it out since I purchased it at just the shipping cost through a trial program, and I'm really happy with it. The price is quite steep, so I definitely won't be repurchasing. I'm also a bit disappointed with the fragrance. This moisturizing cream feels so hydrating and silky smooth. I love how it works even better when I mix it with my regular moisturizer for an extra dewy finish. I wish the packaging was better designed. The container tends to get dented, which causes the cream to leak out from the inside. Mixing it with a hydrating moisturizer gives you an even more nourished application. I've also had great results blending it with other creams I use. Skin Type: Combination, dehydrated, thin skin, oily areas, pores, dark spots The packaging is absolutely gorgeous! Honestly, that's the strongest point here haha! The feel on skin is great! My skin is sensitive and combination, and I tend to feel really dry as time goes on. So while I appreciate hydrating products, I'm hesitant about anything too oily. Bastian Cream has an ointment-like texture, similar to other intensive creams. It's a slightly thick hydrating cream formula, so I worried it might clog pores, but it doesn't at all. It provides just the right amount of moisture and helps prevent water loss, so even with minimal skincare, dryness doesn't kick in right away. My skin doesn't feel stressed or reactive—it feels calm and comfortable when I use this serum cream on its own. If I had to pick a downside, there's a subtle pine-like scent with a slightly chemical note. I found it a bit off-putting at first, but I've gotten used to it. That said, I wish there was a sample available for people sensitive to fragrance. Also, the aluminum container is a bit inconvenient—product keeps coming out before you close the lid. Once it's sealed, nothing leaks, so it's fine, but it's definitely an annoying quirk. I think people will have mixed feelings about this. I usually apply a light toner and serum in normal amounts to my face, then dispense a small amount of Bastian Cream per area and apply it. It works perfectly. You can wait for the serum to absorb before applying the cream, but since this cream is slightly thick with a subtle oily feel, I've found that mixing them together gives me the ideal balance of hydration and lasting moisture.

I really appreciated the hygienic aluminum tube packaging. Even though the formula has a rich, thick texture, it didn't provide enough hydration and nourishment for my dry skin. I felt significant dryness, so I've been mixing hyaluronic acid serum or squalane into the cream before applying it to get better results. Not recommended for dry skin. The packaging and design really caught my attention right from the start. The texture feels incredibly smooth and silky when I apply it. It hydrates my skin just enough without leaving any sticky residue, making it perfect for summer use. I'm also impressed with the ingredient list, so I'm definitely satisfied with this product. Honestly, I don't have any major complaints so far. If I had to nitpick, I'd say it doesn't feel particularly unique or standout compared to other creams on the market. It's not sticky at all, and the texture feels incredibly smooth and a bit unique. Plus, I've never experienced any tightness or dryness the morning after using it! If you have extremely dry skin, you might find the hydration level isn't quite enough. But here's the good news—even when you layer it multiple times, it never feels heavy, so feel free to apply as generously as you need. It blends beautifully with oils and absorbs wonderfully without any sticky residue.
