If you have oily skin, I'd recommend trying the resurfacing product from the same line instead. Application is fantastic: Among retinoid products, this one applies beautifully. Compared to oil-based retinols that feel heavy and uncomfortable, this feels like a dream to use. After trying that other retinol with squalane, this is honestly such a relief. Out of every retinol product I've tested, the application texture is my absolute favorite. Brand reliability: CeraVe is owned by L'Oreal Group, so it shares technology with brands like Lancôme and La Roche-Posay, which means you're getting excellent value for your money. The brand has built a reputation as a gentle option for sensitive skin (dermatologists in the US frequently recommend it). Results: I was worried this might be too mild, but on my thin, delicate skin, it's actually quite effective. When I use it several days in a row without breaks, I notice gentle exfoliation happening, which can sometimes make daytime makeup application a bit tricky. That said, my very thin skin type definitely plays a role in how strong the effects feel. If you're over 30 with dry and sensitive skin, this is the perfect retinol starter product for you. Honestly, there's really nothing disappointing about this product. My only wish is that it were available in Korean stores instead of just through Amazon. Make sure to read the retinol usage instructions carefully before applying. Start conservatively at first, either using it every other night or sandwiching it between your moisturizer layers. This approach will help your skin adjust beautifully.

I don't really understand why it's so popular either. There are plenty of great products available locally, so why bother with this one? Just stick with what we have.
