The hold is so much better compared to my previous color cream. It applies more smoothly than wax too. This product has a really strong, sticky texture. I was worried it would harden up like wax, but I'm happy to say it doesn't do that at all. When I apply it by rubbing it on my hands first, it seems to dry pretty quickly on my skin. This hair product has impressive staying power, so I keep coming back to it regularly. Unfortunately, since it comes into direct contact with my forehead area, it sometimes causes skin irritation, which is disappointing. I tried the volumizing curl cream and loved how easy it was to use daily. Since I wanted stronger hold and better setting power, I decided to repurchase it. I'm really satisfied because this formula definitely gives me a firmer hold and better curl definition compared to the volumizing version. If you apply too much, it can look clumpy and feel sticky on your face. It can also trigger breakouts when it comes into contact with your skin. I'd recommend using a dry setting spray on top for extra hold and longevity.

The cleansing power is excellent too, making it a great product for everyday use! I can't really think of any downsides. If I had to mention something, it's that if you use too much product, your hair can get weighed down and look greasy pretty quickly. I'm leaving this review based on my younger brother's experience with the product since he uses it more than I do. The fragrance is lovely, it applies smoothly, and the hold is really impressive. I think anyone who loves a matte finish will absolutely enjoy this. I bought this because it was supposed to have better hold than the wet curl cream, but that wasn't the case at all. It's even difficult to define individual strands of hair. It applies smoothly without being heavy, so I was able to achieve a natural, effortless look! I do notice that the hold weakens over time when I'm out and about for extended periods, which is a bit disappointing.
