It works great for summer use (early 40s skin). The absorption rate is moderate. On oily skin, there's a slight shine that lingers. Personally, I find the hydration level is much better suited for skin in the 20s-30s age range. For combination or dry skin in that age group, it might not provide enough coverage. That said, if you're in your 20s, I'd recommend it even for dry skin types. For 40-year-old skin, it's usable in summer, but it doesn't hold up well during seasonal transitions. Also, as time goes on, the scent develops an odd sour note. When I'm exhausted, I just layer this cream a few times and go to bed.
