This soothing essence is gentle, packed with great ingredients, and absolutely amazing! It's perfect for cooling and refreshing your skin - it really lives up to its name. When you apply it to your face, it feels wonderfully cool and hydrating. It's totally different from the basic aloe gel you'd find at regular stores. I love applying a generous amount before bed! If you apply too much in the morning before your regular makeup routine, it can feel a bit heavy and might cause your makeup to shift slightly, so you'll want to adjust the amount you use. Tip: Use less product in the morning before applying makeup to avoid any pilling or shifting!

The absorption isn't instant, but it leaves a lasting moisture-rich feeling on the skin as if you've layered hydration on top. The gel absorbs beautifully into the skin and delivers such plump hydration that the moisturizing power is fantastic. As for the feel, if you dislike that slippery texture, it might not be for you, but once you spread it across your skin, it quickly becomes lightweight and dewy, so the overall experience is pretty solid. Since I apply it all over my body, including areas like my thighs and inner thighs, the moisture lingers quite a bit, which means my clothes can get damp if I apply it too close to getting dressed. I haven't experienced any breakouts, but if my skin feels warm, this soothing gel dries quickly, and without reapplying, I notice some dryness and itchiness. There's really no skin type I wouldn't recommend this for. It's wonderful for calming sensitive skin, and whether your skin is dry or oily, it works beautifully as an all-skin-type product. When I chill it in the refrigerator and apply a thick layer like a sleeping mask before bed, I wake up to incredibly soft and plump, hydrated skin during my morning cleanse. It's such a refreshing experience!
