The application is absolutely wonderful. When I squeeze it out, it comes out with a rich, creamy texture, but as I gently smooth it across my skin, it melts and settles beautifully. It absorbs really well, and best of all, I wake up with this amazing hydrating barrier feeling, which makes it perfect for nighttime use. You know how you need to apply an oil-based product in the evening for your hands? This is exactly that product for your face! I mainly used this during evening hours or when I wasn't wearing makeup. Because it has a heavier texture, if you apply it before makeup, it can feel thick and shift around on your skin. I typically apply it in the evening before bed, making sure to massage it carefully over my face and especially my neck area. I'm giving this a zero out of ten, not even a one. This is absolutely a product I will never use again. I saw a popular beauty influencer using this and thought it looked promising, so I decided to try it. But my skin completely reacted badly to it, and the irritation spread all the way down to my neck. I've rarely experienced such severe breakouts and sensitivity in my life. If you have sensitive skin, I'd honestly recommend skipping this product entirely. I'd especially recommend this for those with dry skin who can't tolerate heavier formulas. Since it's a lightweight hydrating cream, it might feel a bit too light for women in their 40s to use on its own. When I mix it with Dermatologist and La Roche-Posay B5 night cream, I get everything I need in one step: deep moisture, surface hydration, and soothing benefits all at once.

The butter-like texture with its moisturizing feel is absolutely wonderful. Because of this luxurious texture, my skin feels noticeably smoother, which I really appreciate. The hydration is great too, and I haven't experienced any breakouts or irritation! The fragrance is quite strong. Since I don't mind unscented products or natural ingredient scents, I found this disappointing. The artificial fragrance lingers in my nose constantly. Also, it feels a bit too heavy for summer use, so I used it through spring, took a break during summer, and just started using it again this month.
