I used this product during an extremely hot summer when my irregular lifestyle caused a sudden breakout of milia and inflamed blemishes. To be honest, this product gave me the worst skin condition I've experienced since my teens. If you don't have bulletproof skin, I'd recommend skipping this one. Skin Type: 1. Oily (lots of oil, rarely feel dehydrated underneath) 2. Face constantly feels heated 3. Entire face covered with milia, inflamed blemishes, and acne scars Product Performance: 1. Hydration: 2 out of 5 stars (slightly better than nothing) 2. Blemish calming: negative 1 star (made it worse) 3. Spreadability: 3 out of 5 stars (for oily skin, less sticky than typical hydrating serums) 4. Price: negative 1 star (expensive despite worsening breakouts) 5. Scent: 4 out of 5 stars (refreshing herbal fragrance) At first, it seemed effective, and I was impressed by the before-and-after photos of someone with severe breakouts on the product page, so I used one full bottle plus half another. I applied it every morning and night, but it didn't help with either the milia or inflamed blemishes. Around the time I finished the first bottle, I started getting these crazy textured bumps from my jawline to between my brows that would release white sebum when squeezed. I thought I was losing my mind. Since my skin was already troubled at that point, I didn't realize it was this product's fault and kept switching other products from toner to cream. But when I experienced a stinging and burning sensation I'd never felt before in my life, I stopped using this product, and both the textured bumps and the burning stopped. Before using this, I also tried the original version from the same brand, which didn't make things worse but also didn't help calm breakouts. This Forte version, for some reason, actually worsened my breakouts. I'm done with the DMCK brand. It won't be part of my life going forward. (Maximum frustration) My best tip is to not buy it. I have oily skin, and after applying it, my skin surface gets shiny while breakouts spread across my entire face from milia to inflamed blemishes. I'm still frustrated just thinking about the time I wasted trying to figure out if this product was really the culprit. I'm currently restoring my damaged skin with this routine. I can't skip any of these four products, and they're all absolute favorites. Especially before I used Forte, my face was constantly oily, so I was determined to use only water-based formulas across all product lines. But the second ampoule completely changed my perspective. I was skeptical about dmck since it's not a well-known brand, but after a friend recommended it, I decided to give it a try and I'm sticking with it. It seems perfect for summer use, and I used to get a lot of small bumps, but they've really calmed down since I started using this. I'd definitely recommend it for sensitive skin. I'd love to try samples of their other products too. The formula is a bit lightweight, so I need to apply it twice to get enough coverage. I don't think it would be sufficient during winter. This product applies so smoothly and spreads beautifully across the skin. The absorption is fantastic too. I've definitely noticed it helps calm down excess oil and that uncomfortable warm feeling on my face. The pump dispenser feels a bit weak, and it only fills about halfway, which is frustrating. I really wish they would improve this aspect.
