I bought this because the scent is absolutely lovely and the value for money is fantastic. The texture is quite lightweight. I experienced some allergic reactions, unfortunately. I've been using this since summer and I'm really happy with it. The texture is light and watery, and while I mainly use it for cleansing my body rather than my face, it's gentle and works wonderfully. I was hoping for a stronger jasmine scent, but the sandalwood comes through more prominently. The scent is really nice, especially if you love natural fragrances like I do. That said, if you have dry skin, I'd skip this one. The cleansing power is strong and squeaky-clean, almost like using a bar of soap. As someone with increasingly dry skin, I'm not a fan of how this leaves my skin feeling. While it does clean well, I absolutely need to follow up with a moisturizer. The scent is delicate and subtle, with a lingering fragrance that doesn't stick around too long. While this product works for both face and body, I find myself reaching for it more as a body cleanser than a facial product. It's not dramatically different from a standard body wash, but the Dr. Bronner's Save the Earth brand reputation combined with the eco-friendly appeal of an organic formula makes me want to keep using it. Since organic products tend to have lighter scents, if you're looking for something with a bit more fragrance, this could be worth trying. The jasmine scent is pretty strong, so some people might not love it. Even though it's organic, the fragrance feels too mature and sophisticated to use with kids.

I haven't noticed any particular drawbacks with this product, but the scent is definitely something people will have mixed feelings about.

I have dry skin and usually reach for a gentle, pH-balanced cleanser, but my husband has oily skin and finds that pH-balanced formulas leave his skin feeling slick with weak cleansing power. What I love most about Castile Soap is that it's gentle yet effective at cleansing, making it suitable for all skin types. I've tried their lavender before and absolutely loved the scent—it smells like real lavender, not artificial at all. This time I got the sandalwood jasmine, and I'm impressed by how the natural jasmine fragrance lingers pleasantly. Sure, it has a woody quality that might not appeal to everyone, but I think most people would find it calming and soothing. When I use it as a facial cleanser and body wash, I'm really satisfied. However, I wouldn't recommend it as a shampoo—it doesn't create the kind of lather you'd expect from shampoo, so it can leave longer hair feeling tangled. I'd suggest using it as a cleanser and body wash instead. Plus, the pump dispenser makes it super convenient to use! The fragrance is lovely, and it doesn't leave any residue behind. I'm really happy with this product! I wish the pump didn't keep accumulating product buildup inside it. It's frustrating when residue gets stuck in there.
