The formula is lightweight and water-like, so it feels really gentle on skin. The lavender scent doesn't smell cheap at all—it's actually quite luxurious and sophisticated. It definitely helps me feel more relaxed and calm. I thought this was supposed to be an all-in-one product, but when I use it to wash my hair, it gets really stiff and tangled. It's not as bad when I use it on my body, though. Of course, I can just use conditioner to fix it, but still.

It contains jojoba oil, olive oil, and coconut oil which are especially great for hydration, so you can use it as a body wash without any dryness or tightness! When I first used the product, I was surprised by the brown color haha. I was thinking, "It's lavender scented, so why is it brown?" But it turns out it contains caramelized brown sugar for exfoliating benefits too! Most exfoliating wash products typically have grainy particles that can feel harsh, but this soap uses ultra-fine particles that gently buff away dead skin without irritating your skin! The scent is a soothing lavender oil fragrance~ When I used it as a hand soap, it created a nice lather, but when I tried to use it on my body and worked up the lather on a towel, it didn't produce as rich a foam. I'm not sure if it's my towel or the product itself. The pump has an on/off function! Instead of a push-up style, this one has a twist mechanism. I love that I can use this all over my body, and the texture feels so clean and fresh! The pump dispenser is also really convenient and practical. The scent is a bit off for me—it has this lavender note that's hard to describe, but honestly, it's not the most pleasant smell. It's a bit off-putting.

I picked lavender and I'm really happy with it! I use this for both my morning and evening cleanse, and after washing, my skin feels noticeably more hydrated compared to the lemongrass version. I heard that sugar soap formulas vary depending on skin type, and this one leans toward dry skin needs, which seems totally accurate. I'm also really pleased with the scent personally, so I'm definitely satisfied overall. If you're not a lavender fan, this might be tough for you to use because the fragrance is quite strong. It's almost identical to the scent in Dr. Bronner's orange lavender body emulsion. My skin tends to be combination with dehydrated areas, so I wake up with a lot of oil on my face. My regular morning rinse with just water isn't enough, but this cleanser is so gentle that it works perfectly for my morning routine.

Why would anyone complain about this level of foam? The bubbles are actually really creamy and luxurious. Compared to the original formula, the finish feels slightly less fresh, I'd say. It's not overly moisturizing, but definitely less invigorating than before. The texture is thick and gel-like, probably because of the brown sugar, and since it doesn't dispense too easily, a little goes a long way. The only real downside is that the opaque container makes it hard to see how much product is left. The sugar exfoliating action means you can't use it on your face. I've been dealing with stubborn small bumps and breakouts since last year, and a friend recommended this to me. Since I started using it, I haven't had any new breakouts popping up. My skin is naturally oily and prone to excess sebum, but after cleansing with this, my skin feels incredibly clean and refreshed with that satisfying squeaky-clean sensation. For body use, the formula is too thin and doesn't lather well, so you end up having to use a lot more product. Plus, even though my skin is oily, after cleansing with this I feel a tight, dry sensation, so I think people with dry skin types would find it really difficult to use. I bought it because it's absolutely gorgeous! I've been using it as a lavender hand soap, and it's been perfect. It's gentle, reliable, and has excellent cleansing power. Great ingredients at a reasonable price compared to other organic products. Our whole family uses it for cleansing, hand and foot washing, and as a body wash in the shower. No side effects so far. The scent is lovely and the moisturizing power is excellent. It produces less lather than Dr. Bronner's Pure Castile Soap. When used as a shampoo, it leaves hair feeling a bit stiff. When I use it in the shower alongside Dr. Bronner's Lavender Pure Castile Soap, the lather becomes much richer and more luxurious.
