I loved the Dear Door scrub products, so when their new sunscreen came out, I had to try it. The formula is a pure emulsion - super lightweight and easy to apply. There's no brightening effect, which is actually perfect because it means this is just a straightforward sunscreen with no extra frills. What really impressed me is that there's zero irritation around my eyes. I actually discovered this by accident when I applied it generously and fell asleep without removing my makeup, and my eyes felt completely fine the next morning. The emulsion texture absorbs beautifully, doesn't brighten my complexion, has almost no scent, feels weightless without any stickiness, and delivers pure sun protection - exactly what I want. I'm completely satisfied and definitely repurchasing. Since it's an emulsion formula, I'm not entirely sure if I'm applying too much or if that's just how it works, but I've noticed my makeup tends to shift a bit throughout the day. I think I need to reinforce my skincare base and try again. On the bright side, there's no tackiness even with generous application. Since this is my first time using an emulsion-type sunscreen, the absorption feels fine, but I'm honestly not sure if it's actually providing sun protection - it's hard to tell without spending time in the sun. The formula does seem to have a slight cooling effect on the skin, but I'd need to test it outdoors to really know. Since I naturally run warm and tend to have sensitive skin, I appreciate how gentle and non-irritating it feels, so I'm satisfied for now.
