The lather is definitely lighter compared to bar soaps, which makes sense since it's gentle enough for facial use. But here's the thing—the foam itself is incredibly soft, so there's zero irritation when I cleanse. And this is the most important part for me: no more of that maddening itchy, mosquito bite sensation! That made me so happy. Oh, and the best part? After makeup, this cleanser alone does the job—I don't even need a cleansing milk, cleansing balm, or cleansing oil. It removes everything in one go. I looked it up and found out it's a neutral pH formula, which explains why it works so well. Even using it as a morning cleanser causes zero irritation, which I absolutely love. The only downside is the lighter lather, but honestly, that's not a big deal—I can just use a cleansing net if I want more foam. The benefits far outweigh this minor drawback. I'd quietly recommend this to anyone dealing with contact dermatitis. I bought a 16-pack from Amazon and I'm already on my fourth one. I use this instead of shampoo, and I love that my hair falls out less and doesn't feel dry or stiff. It's great that I can cleanse both my body and hair with one product. Since it's so gentle, it seems to work well on my back acne too. The scalp cleansing power is a bit disappointing. It removes oil buildup well, but my scalp gets itchy sometimes. It doesn't really tackle dandruff or odor completely. That said, for the price, I can't find anything better. Also, if you use it for both body and hair at the same time, it runs out super fast. I've been trying out several different types of Dove soap. Among them, the Sensitive formula is the gentlest and fragrance-free, which makes it my favorite so far. Since this product has a neutral pH, it actually cleanses more effectively than acidic formulas. Even after applying sunscreen, I can easily remove everything with just this Dove soap alone—no need for a double cleanse routine or oil cleanser. I wash my hands frequently throughout the day, and I used to get eczema and irritation from regular hand washes that left my skin feeling dry and itchy. Since switching to Dove soap, those uncomfortable sensations have completely disappeared. It's also more affordable than liquid hand wash. The lather is incredibly soft and rich. I've started using this for everything—shampoo, body wash, and facial cleansing—so my bathroom is less cluttered and my routine is more budget-friendly. When I use this to wash my body, my skin feels less dry even without applying moisturizer afterward. Since I have dry skin, I still apply moisturizer, but I noticed that regular washes, even though they're pH-balanced, used to leave me feeling parched if I didn't immediately apply moisturizer. This soap is different. Since it's a bar soap, there's definitely some friction and rubbing involved, which can be a bit inconvenient. It also tends to soften quickly, possibly due to the moisturizing ingredients. If you're looking for that squeaky-clean feeling or have acne-prone skin, this might not be the best choice for you. I'd recommend this for those with dry to normal skin types. Using a soap net makes the lather much more abundant and easier to work with. For hair, it works best when you either create a lather in the soap net first and then apply it, or use the bar directly on your hair. Just be aware that if the soap net touches your hair directly, the lather won't be as effective.

My skin was seriously compromised with severe acne and a completely damaged barrier, but it's actually recovered. I'm amazed! The cleansing power is a bit lacking, so I need to do a second cleanse after applying sunscreen.

While the cleansing power is solid, the scent falls short of my expectations, so I'm on the fence about repurchasing. On days when my skin feels extra dry, I tend to use it more on my hands and body rather than my face. This is already my third bottle! The cleansing power is amazing and there's absolutely no tightness or dryness. I use it for everything - washing my hair, cleansing my face, and even as a body wash! My hair doesn't feel heavy or weighed down after washing, but there's a slight odor that bothers me. Because of that, I only use it to wash my hair on days when I'm staying home.
