For a scrub, it's genuinely gentle and doesn't irritate my skin, but it still removes dead skin cells effectively. I'm amazed because the dark spots and discoloration under my buttocks have completely disappeared. I've also noticed that ingrown hairs have significantly reduced, and my skin feels incredibly smooth and soft, like whipped cream! I'm so thrilled with the results that I'm definitely sticking with this product. When I rub it on with my hands and then use a shower pouf to create lather, the scrub particles get stuck in the pouf and don't come out easily. That's the downside. But honestly, it's such a minor issue that I can easily overlook it. If you use it first with your hands and then gently massage it with a shower towel or pouf one more time, it creates a rich lather just like a body wash and rinses off beautifully. It's a level 5 exfoliating scrub with coarse particles, so there's some intensity to the formula, but it really worked wonders on my keratosis pilaris! The thick granules actually stimulate the bumpy texture really well and help slough it off. After showering, I noticed little red spots that turned out to be where the hair and dead skin had been removed. The only downside is that the granules take a bit of effort to dissolve and need to sit for a while, but when I leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse with water, my skin feels incredibly soft and hydrated. The coconut and sugar scent is absolutely amazing and lingers beautifully. The particles feel like coarse sugar, so if you have sensitive skin, it might be uncomfortable. You'll want to mix it carefully with warm water to dissolve it properly before using it as a scrub. I finished my previous body scrub and was searching for a new one when I kept seeing Dove body scrubs all over TikTok. The pink one seems to be the most popular, but I've been really into coconut and vanilla scents lately, so I chose this one instead. While this is a more intensive exfoliating product, the fragrance is absolutely amazing. It has a cozy scent that pairs beautifully with Dove Shea Butter Body Wash, and I discovered that applying it to damp skin makes it less abrasive, so I can actually control how intense the exfoliation feels. Even when I adjust it this way, the particles are noticeably larger than my previous scrub, which means the exfoliating action is so much more effective. What I really appreciate is that unlike finer-textured scrubs where you end up pressing harder because there's no resistance, this product gives you enough exfoliating power with gentle motions, making the whole experience so much easier and more comfortable. I picked this product mainly for its lovely scent, so it's a bit disappointing that the exfoliating strength is quite intense. This is the most intense scrub among the three strength levels, so the results are truly dramatic. Just one application completely clears away stubborn dead skin. The granules are large and abundant, so I find myself reaching for this especially during winter. The scent is sweet and rich - it lingers beautifully even after washing, and you can still smell it on your hands. If you have sensitive or delicate skin, this might feel a bit strong. Here's the thing though - even though it's the same product, the formula is different. The first one I bought had a thin, watery consistency, so I thought that was normal. But the one that came later was completely thick and creamy. Apparently everyone gets a random version. The thicker formula is actually better, but it absorbs water so easily that I keep mine in my bedroom and scoop out what I need instead of keeping it in the bathroom. If you're worried about water getting in, keep it in your bedroom and transfer some to a small bowl before bringing it into the shower. Since it doesn't come in a tube, you have to wipe off moisture, open the container, scoop out the scrub, and close it again - it's honestly tedious and time-consuming.
