I was using The Face Shop's The Therapy First Serum as a toner, but since it comes in a glass bottle, it's quite heavy and the price-to-quality ratio isn't the best. So I started looking for other toner options and discovered this one! The sales associate mentioned it's formulated for oily skin and works great for people who don't like that sticky feeling. I was curious, so I decided to try it, and I have to say it feels noticeably lighter! Plus, my skin tends to be sensitive, but I haven't experienced any breakouts so far. Compared to what I was using before, the packaging is lighter and the price point feels really reasonable. I like that it feels fresh and doesn't leave a tacky residue, but honestly, during winter it does feel a bit drying when I apply it. That said, it's not so dry that my skin cracks or anything—it's more like a slight dryness that makes me wonder if I need more hydration. Update from May 1st: I've stopped using it on my face because it seems to trigger sensitivity to limonene and linalool. After extracting blackheads, I applied this generously on a cotton pad to soothe the area, but that spot became noticeably red and irritated. Now I just use the remaining product mixed with body emulsion and apply it to my back instead. If you have dry skin and want to use this alone, try applying it first, then follow up with a hydrating serum or essence, and finish with an emulsion or cream. The price was really reasonable and I got plenty of product for my money. If you're on the fence about whether to buy it, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try at least once. The scent of the toner isn't really my cup of tea, so it was a bit off-putting when applying it. This product is so gentle and doesn't irritate my skin at all. It seems like dermatologists approve of it too. I love that both my teenager and I can use it together without any issues. My forehead and T-zone tend to get oily, so after I apply toner or emulsion, oil starts showing through pretty quickly. But this product keeps things feeling fresh and clean. While it doesn't completely prevent oil from coming through, I'm really impressed with how well it works. If you have dry skin, this might not be the best choice for winter use.
