I've been using this product for almost a year now. While others were switching between different shampoos at the base exchange, I couldn't put this one down and kept coming back to it. The scent reminds me a bit of Lavoche shampoo, but with a refreshing and zesty mint fragrance that's really invigorating. The lather is absolutely amazing and builds up beautifully. I'd definitely recommend this as a shampoo for oily hair types. I have both oily and dry scalp issues. After finishing Lush Shampoo, I was using Bic and Head & Shoulders for itchy scalp when summer arrived. As soon as the heat kicked in, my scalp went completely out of control. Plus, Head & Shoulders didn't feel the same as before—I think they reformulated it. So I decided to try a new shampoo, and I'm absolutely thrilled with this product! It really removes excess oil from my scalp. And unlike other products, my hair doesn't feel stiff or dry afterward. I'm genuinely happy using it! If I discover another great shampoo, I'll definitely come back and share. The only minor drawback is that it's a bit pricey compared to other shampoos for the amount you get. But then again, Lush and Bic are expensive too, so it's not a huge deal.

One wrong move and everything falls apart at once. I do a pre-cleanse shampoo to manage flaking, dandruff, and excess oil. My scalp really needs this two-step approach, but I give my hair separate care. I rarely get perms or color treatments, but I deal with frizz, thick hair, and lots of volume, so my ends get damaged easily. The tragedy of frizzy hair is that it gets puffy and flyaway. Brushing causes breakage and tangling that drives me crazy. With so much volume, my scalp gets hot easily. If I don't dry my hair thoroughly right after washing, it stays damp and humid, which causes problems. Why I Bought This I needed a functional shampoo specifically for scalp care. I wanted something that could manage flaking, dandruff, and sebum while maintaining my scalp's moisture-oil balance, plus provide a cooling effect to keep my scalp feeling fresh. How I Use It I start with an affordable oily scalp shampoo in a large size. I gently shampoo focusing on my scalp and let it sit for about 5-7 minutes. (I use a basic drugstore shampoo with good cleansing power made for oily scalps.) While the shampoo sits, I shower and wash my face and body. Then I rinse my hair and use this product for a second, targeted scalp cleanse. I let it sit again for 3-4 minutes. I brush my teeth during this time, and the timing works perfectly. A final rinse and I'm done! On treatment days, I apply it during this step (2-3 minutes after shampooing is complete). When everything is done, I gently rinse the back of my neck, shoulders, and back to remove any remaining shampoo and treatment residue. What I Loved The cooling effect is subtle while shampooing but really noticeable when I blow-dry. In summer, I use a fan to dry my hair and cool my scalp, and this shampoo's cooling sensation is so much stronger than other products. It creates a rich, abundant lather. I've used so many weakly acidic shampoos that barely foam, which is frustrating. This one maintains moisture-oil balance beautifully and has strong cleansing power despite being formulated for oily scalps. The product description says it's pH 5.1-6.1, and honestly, it has the best cleansing power of any shampoo I've tried. Normally, my oily scalp gets grimy and my hair gets greasy within 6 hours of shampooing, but this keeps my scalp feeling fresh much longer. Regular drugstore shampoos only feel clean right after washing, even with pre-cleansing. With this product, my scalp stays in good condition until my next wash day! It has a refreshing herbal scent. The fragrance isn't heavy while shampooing, which feels fresh and pleasant. After blow-drying, it helps control scalp odor a bit. Those of us with oily scalps know the struggle, right? Our hair gets smelly so quickly. It's August right now as I write this, and assuming I dry my hair well with a fan, as long as I don't sweat excessively, I'm satisfied with how it helps manage odor. What Could Be Better The price-to-volume ratio is a bit high. To be honest, it's not economical enough to use generously. In my case, I use it as a second shampoo after pre-cleansing, so I only pump once, but I'd love to see a bulk value package or more frequent sales. The hair tends to feel stiff. Most oily scalp shampoos do this to some degree. It's not completely dry, but during the final rinse, my hair feels a bit tight. People with very oily scalps might be fine, but those with combination or sensitive scalps and delicate hair might find it difficult to use. The bottle is opaque, so it's hard to see how much product is left. It's not a major issue, but it's a small inconvenience worth mentioning. The ingredient composition is a bit disappointing. While it's not meant to sit on hair like skincare products and will wash away, I still felt it could be better. That said, since the ingredients are water-soluble, they should rinse out well during shampooing. On a positive note, it wasn't irritating for me at all! No eye stinging and absolutely no scalp irritation. Pro Tips Make sure to use a treatment or hair essence for hair care. Since my scalp is oily, I used to skip conditioner and hair oil because they felt slippery, but my hair got damaged. I had a consultation with a stylist and learned my lesson. I need to use lightweight, fresh products for conditioning. Use cool air when blow-drying, and it feels amazing. With so much hair volume, the last sections to dry always stayed damp, but this product significantly reduces that problem. Of course, regularly thinning out your hair is even more effective.
