During summer when I sweat a lot, my scalp gets itchy, so I went searching for a refreshing shampoo and discovered this product. It contains these salt-like granules that feel amazing when I massage them into my scalp during shampooing and then rinse them out. My scalp feels so clean and invigorated, and I've noticed my hair is shedding less, which I really love. There's one inconvenient thing about using it. Unlike regular shampoos with a pump dispenser, this one comes in a squeeze tube, so it requires more effort to get the product out.

Since my scalp is sensitive, I was concerned the salt granules might be too harsh, but it turned out fine. At first, I used it without shampooing since the instructions said I could use it instead of shampoo, but I got breakouts the next day. Now I use the scalp scrub first, then follow up with a regular shampoo, and I haven't had any issues since. Since this is a scalp scrub, I noticed quite a bit of hair shedding with each use. I'd recommend using it once every 2-3 days rather than daily to minimize hair loss. I found that applying the scalp scrub and letting it sit while I brush my teeth works best for me during summer. It leaves my scalp feeling refreshed and cool. Just don't leave it on too long or it can feel irritating, so the time it takes to brush my teeth is actually the perfect amount of time.

This shampoo creates a rich, luxurious lather and smells absolutely wonderful. I think it would be perfect for oily scalp types. I found it especially helpful when my scalp felt heavy or uncomfortable. The exfoliating particles are quite large, which makes rinsing a bit of a hassle sometimes. Even though my scalp isn't usually sensitive, I experienced some itching, and I noticed breakouts appearing more frequently.

I grabbed this in a pinch when I ran out of my regular shampoo, and then I actually bought it again in January when my scalp suddenly broke out and got itchy. After using it, I felt surprisingly refreshed and clean. 1) The Scent I'm not sure how to describe it, but it smells cheap. It reminds me of that inexpensive marker pen scent. Honestly, they could have gone with a more common fragrance and it would've been better. The lingering scent is really strong too—even after washing my hair with a different shampoo, this cheap smell sticks around for a day or two. 2) Inconvenient to Use If your nails are long, the product gets stuck between your nails. If your nails are short, the dispenser spreads awkwardly and it hurts. Don't just trim your nails and use it right away—trust me, I learned this the hard way. Also, the sectioning nozzle isn't really that useful. The formula is so thin that it just gushes out everywhere. And when you close the cap, you have to flip the bottle upside down first, or else the product leaks all over the cap. Overall, this product is just too much hassle. I wouldn't recommend buying this. I love using this 1-2 times a week like a regular shampoo because it lets me do a scalp scrub treatment at the same time. It's really effective against flakes and dandruff, except when my scalp is in really bad condition. If you use it when you have cuts or irritation, it stings and feels too harsh. Also, the product leaks a little bit every time I open the cap to use it.
