Since I was applying it all the way to my scalp, product often remained, so thorough rinsing is essential! I follow up with a gentle shampoo after using this treatment. This is hands down the best scalp treatment I've tried. After using it, my scalp feels so hydrated and my hair quality improves too. I use water-based treatments mainly for scalp care, and I've tested plenty of other products, but this is the only one that actually makes my hair look and feel better along with treating my scalp. Even though it's pricey, I keep coming back to it after trying other options. The biggest downside is definitely the price. It rarely goes on sale. Also, you have to apply it by pressing with your fingers, and the product is quite firm, so it can make your hand sore. If you're new to water-based treatments, be aware that it can drip a bit. I even love the cap design because it's so convenient. I can twist it and squeeze out the product easily. Make sure to massage it thoroughly until it transforms into an ampoule-like texture.

I've been using Doctor Forehead Phytotherapy Shampoo regularly, so I picked this up at Olive Young without much thought. I was shocked to see the ratings were pretty disappointing! I worried I'd made a mistake, but after actually trying it, it's really nice, so I'm leaving this review. 1. Weakly acidic formula and hair loss prevention ingredients - When choosing a treatment, I always go for weakly acidic options that won't cause scalp breakouts and are gentle enough for sensitive skin. Honestly, there aren't many products like that out there. I really loved the ingredient list. 2. Silky smooth hair texture - My hair feels incredibly soft and smooth after using this. 3. Twist-cap design instead of a pop-off lid - It feels more hygienic and is super convenient to manage. The scent is subtle and reminds me of baby laundry detergent, which isn't bad, but I used too much by accident and it actually gave me a headache. I also noticed that Doctor Forehead Phytotherapy has a really strong fragrance, and this other Poligen shampoo I tried was overpowering too. This one has a similar issue, so I'm taking away a star because of the scent intensity. Being water-based, it transforms into a creamy texture when it meets water and feels so smooth that it absorbs into your hair beautifully. 1. The fragrance is quite strong and overpowering 2. No matter how much you rinse, it leaves a slippery residue (you have to wash your hands with soap again to remove what's left on them) 3. It feels like the product keeps coating your hair, and even after rinsing thoroughly with water, the lather continues to linger. Even though the description says it's safe for the scalp, if it's this difficult to rinse out, I'm concerned about applying it directly to the scalp 4. I honestly couldn't find a single redeeming quality about this product. There's really nothing positive I can say about it. This is supposed to be a treatment, but it feels like pure oil. I'm genuinely concerned about how greasy it is.
