I started taking acne medication because of mask-related breakouts, and it was stripping all the oil from my skin, leaving my face incredibly dry. Without this barrier cream, my skin would have turned into a desert by now. When I first applied it, I was worried it might be too rich and cause irritation, but surprisingly, no breakouts at all. It feels like my face is wrapped in a protective moisture layer. It has a herbal scent, but I actually love that earthy herbal aroma, so it works for me. I use it together with the emulsion from that brand. Because it creates such a strong moisture barrier feeling, sometimes when I apply it as a base in the morning, my makeup doesn't seem to set as well on my face. This is a product I want to keep stocked and use regularly.
