The hydration is absolutely fantastic! This is a brand my mother swears by. Yes, it's pricey, but it's worth every penny. It really locks in moisture and fills your skin with that deep hydration you need. If you have dry skin, I can't recommend this enough! I'm a bit disappointed with the color change of the product inside. Chantée is a trusted gentle brand you can rely on. It comes in a beautiful case with a lovely blue color. The exfoliation could be better. This serum has a medium consistency that's not too thin, though it does have a somewhat tangy scent. Right after application, I wondered if it would feel hydrating, but it dries down pretty quickly. Once it sets, there's this slightly stiff, coating-like feeling. While it's supposed to help with exfoliation, I'm honestly not sure if I'm noticing a real difference. The sharp, acidic smell is really intense and honestly kind of stings your nose. Even after a while, that scent lingers and keeps coming back. Plus, my face feels kind of rough and bumpy afterward. If you have dry skin, you absolutely have to layer a thick cream on top of this. This product is perfect when your skin feels rough and flaky. It gently exfoliates without any irritation, and I'm honestly impressed with how smooth and refined my skin feels the next day. If you want to restore your skin's texture and get that soft, supple feel back, I'd definitely recommend giving this a try. My complexion has become so much softer and more polished. There's a slight tingling sensation when you first apply it, but honestly, it goes away pretty quickly once you get used to it.

Since it's supposed to help remove dead skin just by applying it, I use it once a week. After I apply it, my skin feels a bit tingly, which makes me feel like it's really working to slough away that dead skin. The stinging sensation is a bit intimidating, so I'm hesitant to use it too often. It's not irritating, which I really love. It's hard to apply by myself, but this product makes it so much easier. The amount you get doesn't match the price - it's way too small for what you're paying. For something this expensive, I expected better quality.

When I got treatments at a professional spa, my skin looked perfect, but the same products would make my skin sensitive when I used them myself. After I stopped going to the spa, I didn't exfoliate for over a year or two. During that time, I barely visited the spa, maybe once during summer in a whole year. My skin improved significantly, and I only went when I had stubborn bumps. I didn't do any package treatments. People have really different opinions about exfoliation, but honestly, for those with extremely sensitive skin like me, I think using a gentle, slightly alkaline cleanser once or twice a week in the evening is better than exfoliation. It removes excess oil and helps with sebum control. I've been doing this, but every summer my forehead breaks out with those stubborn bumps. So I tried a sample of this product first before buying it. To be honest, when I first used the sample, I wasn't sure if it was working, but after using it several times, I could really see the exfoliating effect. What's amazing is that my skin feels so smooth the next morning when I cleanse. Since I mainly get those bumps on my forehead, I use this once or twice a week in the evening after cleansing, right before my toner. I love that I don't need to rub it in since it absorbs on its own. I also apply a little on my nose for sebum control, and it becomes so smooth. The amount in the bottle isn't that much, but since I only use one or two drops, it should last a long time. There's a slight tingling sensation, but it goes away quickly and isn't severe. Once I apply my other skincare products and wait a few minutes, everything feels fine. However, for those with extremely sensitive skin, if the tingling feeling persists and bothers them, I was told to rinse it off after one or two minutes. You can apply it like an ampoule by dropping one or two drops and letting it absorb, or you can spread it with a brush. But I think any rubbing is irritating to the skin, so I just use my hands to gently spread a small amount and let it absorb. I leave it on for about one or two minutes without doing anything, then apply my other skincare products. Sometimes I use it before applying a mask to boost absorption. This is an aesthetic product I purchased during a group buy. After getting Lara Peel at the dermatology clinic, I was looking for something with LHA ingredients and found Chantecaille Peel Serum. I use it about once every three days. The price point is a concern. I also wish they had offered the 4th generation LHA formula option exclusively. Gentle formula without irritation - I have really sensitive skin, and exfoliating gels usually cause problems if I'm not careful, but this one has never let me down. I'm so happy with it! The gentle formula is great, but I'm not sure if the exfoliation is actually working. I tried Sante Azulene soothing gel at a spa and loved it so much that I bought several Sante products, but honestly, I can't really tell if the exfoliating effect is doing what it should.
