Here's why - when traveling, I'm exhausted and sometimes too tired or pressed for time to do a full makeup routine, so I wanted to try using just this product. Honestly, for this approach to work, you really need to have naturally clear skin already. Of course, I should mention that this only provides tone-up coverage, not actual concealment, so don't expect full coverage. It looks deceptively light, but it applies with a really hydrating, smooth feel that's genuinely pleasant. Plus, you end up using very little product each time (I'll explain why below). Since you use such a small amount, the bottle lasts quite a long time. Shades 13-19 work beautifully for most people. Shade 21 gives a noticeable tone-up effect. Shade 23 tends to look a bit too pale on the face, so be careful with that one. At first, it might seem too white, but as time passes, it blends naturally into your skin. The tone-up effect is more noticeable than natural-looking. It has that obvious brightening feel, kind of like when you apply sunscreen and get that white cast. That's why you have to use such a small amount. While the hydrating formula is nice, you really need a solid skincare base underneath because there can be some slight tightness later on. It provides great moisturizing benefits with excellent hydration, making it absolutely perfect for dry autumn and winter months. Fragrance: It has a fresh floral scent. It's not overpowering at all, so applying it feels really pleasant! Application: The texture is smooth like a milk emulsion. Because it's hydrating with a milk emulsion-like formula, you can apply it freely with your hands without worrying about clumping, and it spreads beautifully! Usage experience: Many tone-up products leave a sticky finish, but this one dries down to a soft, powdery feel without any tackiness. While it feels hydrating when you apply it, the finish is beautifully matte, giving you that perfect combination of a smooth surface with moisture underneath. I really love that! After application, foundation tends to shift and lift on top of this product. The base doesn't go on as smoothly as I'd like. The tone-up effect is weak. I have a darker, yellow-toned complexion (shade 21), and I don't really notice the brightening effect. It does help even out skin tone though! The two photos I've attached show before and after using this product. The pump is inconvenient. At first, it was hard to figure out where the opening was and where the button was. I had to figure it out by trial and error, and honestly, it's really frustrating to use. The pump requires a lot of force, and the amount that comes out each time isn't consistent. I'd recommend this mainly for people with deeper skin tones! It seems like it would be great for those who prefer a natural, makeup-free look without additional base makeup.
