The formula is really effective and rinses out completely without any residue left in your hair. A little goes a long way, so this product lasts forever. The price point is a bit steep for what you get. Waiting the full 5 minutes can feel like a hassle. The lather isn't super abundant, so you end up having to work it in with water to build up a good foam. The scent is absolutely wonderful! I love that I can use this one product as both a shampoo and body wash - it's so convenient. I have a flaky, irritated scalp, and I haven't found a shampoo quite like this one. I first tried it at my hair salon and have been using it ever since. With continued use, my scalp irritation has really calmed down. When I switch to other shampoos, my scalp gets itchy again, but this one doesn't cause that problem at all. The price is quite steep, which makes it hard on the wallet. There aren't many sales or discounts, which is disappointing. The shampoo has a thick consistency and doesn't flow easily, so some product gets stuck in the pump dispenser after use. It hardens over time, which means I have to manually scoop out the leftover product. Try pumping a small amount into a container and mixing it with a little water to thin it out before applying it to your hair. This actually helps create a nice lather. I've been using this for almost 4 years now. Every time winter approached, my scalp would get itchy and flaky, which was really frustrating. My scalp started itching again, so I went right back to this one and I'm sticking with it. As my scalp became healthier, my hair got healthier too, and I haven't experienced any hair loss or thinning. It even works for my husband, who deals with some hair shedding. The main drawbacks are the high price and the fact that you need to leave it on your scalp for about 5 minutes during each wash. Since this shampoo is specifically designed to care for the scalp, I've definitely noticed less scalp odor and the overall condition of my scalp seems to be improving. The formula is way too creamy, so when I first use it, the lather barely forms at all. Half of it ends up clumping together and going to waste when I try to mix it with water. For such a pricey product, it feels like such a shame to see it go unused. I've been using this for almost a year now, and even though I was skeptical about the premium price, I decided to start with a smaller size. My hair has always been on the thinner side, and I used to hate how much I'd lose during every wash. When I used regular drugstore shampoos, I could literally see the hair coming out while I was washing and conditioning, so this has been a game-changer for me. The formula doesn't lather as easily, so you need patience and have to work it together with water for a while to build up a good lather. If you just use it like a regular shampoo, it won't clean properly and could actually be harsh on your scalp. That's why I use this shampoo about five days a week and switch to a different organic shampoo for the other two days. The high price point is also something that bothers me.
