Since there was a clearance sale, I grabbed two blushes and one highlighter, but only the blushes were close to expiration—not this one. What a steal! When I first received it, I was honestly taken aback by how intensely purple it looked. The product page showed it as a softer, more delicate lavender shade, which made me question what I was seeing. But once I swatched it, the color became more subtle and blended beautifully with my other shades. At first application, I wasn't entirely sure, but the more I blended it, the more impressed I became. The formula has this incredible adhesive quality that bonds seamlessly to the skin. My initial hesitation quickly turned into genuine excitement. The way it adheres is remarkable—it feels like my skin is getting a luminous coating, almost as if my complexion naturally glows that way. The shimmer particles inside are much larger than expected. I bought this because I wanted to apply it to my cheeks like shown on the product page, but using such chunky shimmer particles on my face feels like I'm doing stage makeup. Because the particles are so large, they don't settle into fine lines and texture, so every imperfection on my skin becomes visible. I tried comparing it with another brand for reference photos, but my phone camera quality makes it hard to tell the difference. Maybe on days when I'm going for a bold, dramatic look it could work, but for the subtle, refined highlighting shown on the product page, this just doesn't fit the bill. For that kind of finish, you need finely-milled particles and a delicate glow, but this shimmer screams 'I just slapped glitter on my face!' It's honestly so chunky that I could use it as a substitute for eyeshadow glitter. This reminds me of the soft lavender shade from that four-pan glitter palette Daisy K released around last Christmas. The frustrating part is that I stopped using that palette specifically because the particles were too coarse, and I thought I'd finally invest in a proper lavender highlighter. Turns out I just ended up with two glitter palettes instead.
