This is absolutely gorgeous... hands down the best lip pencil I've ever bought! When I apply this along my lip contour and layer it with a tint, I get that perfectly defined lip look I see all over social media. I'm obsessed! The price is a bit steep for me... I wish it were more affordable. Also, the staying power could be better - it doesn't last as long as I'd like.

It does a great job of softening my lip line too. Depending on how you look at it, the shade can appear playful or sophisticated. If you've ever wondered why your tint doesn't look as vibrant and clear as it does in the product photos, try using this lip pencil first before applying your tint. I have really sensitive lips - when I use red shade 202, I get irritated lips that feel like blisters, and yellow shade 5 causes my upper lip to swell. While there are other suspicious ingredients, the ones I definitely need to avoid are red 202 and yellow 5. Fortunately, this product doesn't cause me any of those issues. When I apply the shade on my upper lip, it makes the area between my nose and lip look really long. It just doesn't seem to be the right match for me. I have naturally darker lip edges, so any lip liner I've tried just makes them look even darker and more pronounced. I used to skip lip liner altogether and just use concealer or cushion foundation to cover and blend instead. A friend recommended this product, and I told myself this was my last attempt—if it didn't work, I'd never use lip liner again. But wow, it covers so beautifully and I absolutely love it! When I use concealer, it looks chalky and mixes with my lipstick in a way I really don't like. This one blends naturally without that artificial, patchy appearance, and it doesn't mix with my lipstick at all—that's what I love most about it. I loved it so much after the first purchase that I bought two more. I'm genuinely obsessed. Even though I have a light undertone, this shade doesn't look out of place at all and works beautifully with cool-toned lipsticks too. If you have darker lip edges like me, you absolutely need to try this! (First photo is just the lip liner, second photo is lip liner plus lipstick, and the third shows the actual color payoff.) It doesn't apply quite as smoothly on my upper lip—though that might just be me. Still, I'm really happy with it overall. The color is absolutely the prettiest lip pencil I've seen lately. I've repurchased this exact shade more than five times! The recent product I bought has a strange application texture. It glides too smoothly and the color payoff isn't great, which is disappointing since I've been holding onto it. Plus, it breaks way too easily, which is really frustrating. For the best results with lip pencils, you really need to apply it, press it in with your finger to set it, let it dry completely, and then layer your lip product on top. This lip liner is the closest match to my natural lip color out of all the ones I've tried, so it's perfect for creating a natural-looking overlip effect. The thin tip makes it super easy to draw precise lines exactly where I want them. It feels like it might break easily, and it wears down faster than I expected. It also looks beautiful when you line your lower lash line with it.
