I use this to fill in my thinning crown area, and it blends in so naturally to cover the sparse spots. There's nothing really wrong with it, but if I had to nitpick, when I tap the powder puff, the product doesn't pick up much color. This sponge applicator doesn't leave messy residue on your hands. It's so convenient to use that you can even touch up your roots while you're out and about. The deep black shade is perfect for dark hair. While it does have a slightly noticeable finish, it's so much more portable and easier to reapply compared to other products that I'm giving it 4 stars. The black shade is quite intense, which gives it a somewhat unnatural appearance. The color doesn't apply evenly no matter how much you try. When you keep dabbing it on, only certain spots end up looking too dark. Fair warning: the powder formula in this compact is a bit fragile and tends to crumble or break apart easily. I really wish they sold just this powder refill separately.
