No patchy application at all. It spreads beautifully and blends into a gorgeous gradient. You can feel it setting as you apply it, which means the wear time is fantastic. After a while, it starts to feel dry on my lips. As someone who really doesn't do well with warm or deeply saturated tones, I'm so grateful for this red product. It's versatile and applies beautifully with great layering potential. My skin has deep autumn undertones and is quite dark, so even the slightest bit of brightness looks off, and anything too red stands out too. But with this product, I can control how much I apply and create such a natural, vibrant lip color that looks effortlessly fresh! Since it's a blur tint, it definitely has a drying feel to it, and while I appreciate how quickly it sets, sometimes it sets so fast that it's tricky to create a gradient effect. This deep undertone works beautifully as a tint. I love using the Etude Ginger Milk Tea shade I picked up at the same time as my base, and it's equally stunning when I apply it as a pop of color on its own. The only thing I'd mention is that quite a bit of product comes out at first, so it takes a little practice to control the amount. This tint has such a grunge vibe that really lasts without fading easily. The matte finish applies beautifully and spreads so smoothly across the lips. Everything else about it is great, but I have to say the scent isn't my favorite! The staying power is impressive... I've tried other brands too, but this one is definitely the best I saw reviews saying it doesn't remove easily, and honestly, it's true - it doesn't come off completely. Plus, it stains in a light, muted pink tone. The scent is like clay. The color on the official website looks different from what you actually get on your lips. This tint really lasts once you apply it. The staying power is honestly impressive, so I kept coming back to repurchase it. It felt a bit too dewy for my taste, so I ended up layering a lip gloss on top whenever I used it.
