Duration of Use I wrote this review after trying it for at least a week, and now I'm repurchasing a year's supply of this collagen ampoule that I'm currently using. Taste I've seen so many reviews saying collagen ampoules taste fishy, so until now I've only consumed them in processed food formats loaded with jelly or other sugars. Through Mincaron, I tried the Evercollagen ampoule format for the first time, and it's honestly delicious! I don't taste any fishiness at all—it's more like a Shine Muscat flavor? It feels like drinking concentrated juice, so there's no resistance to it, and it goes down so smoothly. It just feels like drinking a tasty beverage. I'm someone who usually dislikes snacking or sweet things, so if I find this delicious, you can imagine how good it must be. Actually, thanks to this sweet ampoule taste I wasn't used to, my mood lifted and I even worked harder at my job. Results Recently, I suddenly started experiencing extreme inner dryness for no apparent reason, and I was caught in a cycle of inner dryness, heat rising, dryness, and irritation. Even though I was managing my skincare as gently as possible with soothing and hydrating products, nothing was improving. Just when I was struggling with this, I became a test user and started taking collagen. Amazingly, by day 3-4, the irritation started to calm down. By day 5, my skin began recovering to normal condition. By day 7, my skin finally felt like it was absorbing moisture from my skincare routine! Honestly, I only thought collagen was good for elasticity, so I didn't expect it to help with my current concern. It seemed like perfect timing, so I decided to purchase a three-month supply and give it a try. The product I'm using now is a liquid formula, just like my previous one. My old product contained 3,000mg of low-molecular collagen, but it was just a regular food item without health functional food certification. I trusted it because it's from a major brand and used it for a long time with good results. The high content actually made me keep coming back to it, even when I tried switching to other products. However, I was always a bit uneasy about it not being a certified health supplement. This product has only 1,000mg, so the content is lower, but it does have FDA approval. When you try different collagen products, you realize that while content matters, the form—whether it's liquid, pill, or powder—also affects absorption. Plus, you can't ignore the brand power of a company that's been making collagen products in this category for years. EverCollagen has such a long history with collagen that I'd been wanting to try it. The real barrier? The price. It's 32,900 won for 14 bottles at Olive Young. I believe you need to use a product for at least three months to properly evaluate it. A three-month supply at 200,000 won is actually the price of six months of my current product, so it felt like a big commitment. But when I found the marketplace price at around 110,000 won for three months, it became doable. If you're thinking about buying it, definitely check out marketplace deals. Now for the real review: 1) Since I've been taking 3,000mg liquid collagen for over five years, I can definitely feel a difference. After about a week, the first place I noticed changes was around my eyes and cheekbones. I also started noticing some dryness. 2) The most visible change is that my redness became noticeably more pronounced. My redness is pretty extreme to begin with, so it's hard to improve no matter what I do. But with my previous 3,000mg product, I could tell there was a difference between days I took it and days I didn't. With this collagen ampoule, whether I take it or not, there's no real change—it just seems to get redder more often. 3) The pros: it tastes fine and isn't unpleasant to drink. The cons: if you don't shake it well, there's sediment. Also, after shaking and drinking, there's a lot of foam. Since I have gastritis, drinking it on an empty stomach in the morning or before bed causes some stomach discomfort. (I've been doing high-dose vitamin C for a long time and can easily take 3,000mg of vitamin C pills on an empty stomach, so I'm not sure why this causes stomach irritation.) However, if I take it when I'm not completely fasting, there are no major digestive issues. 6) Overall assessment: If you're currently taking around 1,000mg of collagen, this is a trustworthy ampoule. Of course, you'd need to try it yourself. Compared to my previous 3,000mg product, it just feels drier to me. But objectively speaking, I've tried several other FDA-approved 1,000mg collagen ampoules before this one, and this has better absorption, so I don't see issues like enlarged pores being more noticeable. When you take low-absorption collagen products, the most obvious difference is enlarged pores in the T-zone area. Here are some tips: if you get a lot of hangnails around your nails, I notice that when I skip collagen for a few days or take a low-absorption product, hangnails really build up around my nails. When wearing socks or stockings, everything feels rough and scratchy. This product is fine with T-zone pores, but hangnails have started appearing, and my feet have become noticeably rough—I've had to start using foot cream. However, if you've been using higher-content products like 2,000-3,000mg like me, you should be aware that a 1,000mg product will feel drier, and factor that into your purchase decision. I probably wouldn't recommend it to people in their 50s and older, but I'd suggest younger people give it a try. 7) I'm in a dilemma now because my redness got worse. Should I buy collagen pills to supplement? Should I go back to my previous collagen and take it every other day? Or should I just take two bottles morning and night to use it up faster? I'll think it over carefully. 8) I always tell people: if you find skincare that works for you, don't change it. Why didn't I think that way about collagen? But this beauty junkie auntie who loves a challenge already has the next product to try in mind. 1,000mg isn't a low content, but since I was used to taking 3,000mg before, I'm feeling dryness.
